While Tokyo Splash Mountain is very close to the Magic Kingdom version, there are a few noticeable differences (other than most of the dialog being in Japanese). The first thing that stands out is that much of the track is a mirror image of Orlando's, which makes everything feel a bit off kilter. Many of the scenes and animatronics are also presented differently, with much of the indoor areas covered in dense hanging tree leaves to create a much more intimate experience.

So all of the Splash Mountains' uniqueness is for the soundtrack, the second score after Georgia (for the area where the ride is located on), and also the seating method; in California Disneyland, Splash's seating is single file and the soundtrack is unique Southern big-band jazz festival style owing to the Critter Country's location of next to New Orleans Square, and the second score of the area of New Orleans, Louisiana, whereas Magic Kingom and Tokyo Disneyland's Splash Mountain share the same music score with country-western aroma with banjos and harmonicas, where the second score of the area of both parks is the Western wildlife, and both versions' seating system are side-to-side.

In the main area of TDL's Critter Country, the Song of the South OSTs playing in the area music loop are How Do You Do, Let the Rain Pour Down, Laughing Place, What Uncle Remus Said, and Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah.

So the sub-themes of Tokyo Disneyland's Critter Country are: -Western wildlife of series of canyons (including Route 66 of New Mexico and Palo Duro of Amarillo, Texas -Western railroad trails and town with a saloon -Song of the South, Laughing Place, and the Deep South state of Georgia, where SOTS was set (Splash Mountain experience) -Austin tree houses -Western mine shafts (Splash's queue and exit, and Grandma Sara's Kitchen interior) -Country style house (Grandma Sara's Kitchen interior) -Mexico -San Antonio riverside -Any mountainous landmarks of New Mexico, including Sandia Mountains and its connecting mountains, such as Zuni Mountains, San Mateo mountains, Embudito Canyons, Twa Canyons, and Domingo Baca Trail -New Mexico's biological wildlifes such as Cibola Forests -Rio Grande River and its connecting Gulf of Mexico -Albuquerque -Arizona, partially its capital of Phoenix

Splash Mountain's overall storyline is about Georgia where Song of the South is set and not the American Southwest, and the walls of Splash Mountain's building are based on Georgia's red clay but colored like Bryce Canyon/Big Thunder Mountain. So the American Southwest is working only for Critter Country's theming and not Splash's.

In TDL Critter Country's counter service restaurant, Grandma Sara's Kitchen, there are more songs played with country western style featuring banjos, such as Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, Polly-Wolly Doodle, and three more Song of the South OSTs: the opening theme, Sooner or Later, and Who Wants to Live Like That, even though Grandma Sara character is nothing to do with Song of the South.

So Critter Countries are themed to any US states and also other countries; in California Disneyland it is themed to New Orleans bayou, and Britain (for forest themed Winnie the Pooh area) whereas Tokyo Disneyland's Critter Country is US frontier and Mexico.

Due to Texas, AZ, and New Mexico feels, I deem TDL's Critter Country is the park's margarita earth where these US states are places that ever celebrate certain unique margarita festivals and places to find best and unique margaritas, additionally Mexico is the sub-theme and feel of Tokyo's Critter Country for the canyonous landmark and also the hot dog taquitos sold in Rackety's Raccoon Saloon. And the music loops of TDL's Critter Country are also using country western style, colored by banjos and harmonicas and these banjo musics are also playing in the restrooms.

Adventures in VR Splash Mountain's building is based on Georgia landmark and it was reworked according to the neighboring land; in California Disneyland, the ride is still classic and the walls of Chick-a-Pin-Hill has rather reddish Georgia clay looking coloring and also made like Louisiana's clay and bayou trees, whereas Magic Kingdom and Tokyo Disneyland's have Frontierland-style Western canyon looking coloring.

Adventures in VR In California Disneyland, Critter Country is a modification of Bear Country and used to be expansions of half Frontierland and half New Orleans Square. The Splash Mountain area is next to New Orleans Square's Haunted Mansion ground, with swampy and bayou-ish theming and when the Country Bear Jamboree was closed and replaced by Winnie the Pooh ride, California's Critter Country is now nothing to do with Frontierland and the theming was changed to British woods, where 100-acres Woods is based on. And Tokyo's Critter Country is used to be the canoe map of Westernland. In Magic Kingdom, Florida, Splash was built in Frontierland instead, without Critter Country addition to the park.

Tokyo's Splash is close to Magic Kingdom version; it has Western characteristics instead of bayou feel like in California with the music using banjos and harmonicas, but some songs are in Japanese and again, the creepypasta version of Laughing Place, the Burrow's Lament, is the only exception with tense cartoony orchestral music and choirs and does not have lyrics due to absence of responsible animatronics like in California. And Tokyo's Critter Country is also having Western characteristics and the land is the sub-set of Westernland (Tokyo's equivalent to Frontierland), and the land resembles western side of Deep South states of AZ, Texas, and New Mexico.

Nice! I shoot mainly with the GoPro MAX now. Insta360 One X is still a great camera and overall has MUCH better software, but I find I can get better overall image and sound quality with the MAX.

Besides Tokyo Disneyland's Critter Country, the margarita earth of Disney park is Epcot's Mexico pavillion of the World Showcase where there is a full Mexico experience with Mexican restaurants and The Three Caballeros boat ride.
