Before I share my opinion, I want to mention that I’m a Benfica supporter. Now, here’s an honest perspective from a supporter from the other side of the road. What this man has done at Sporting is remarkable. Sporting has often been the subject of jokes among Benfica and Porrto supporters, much like Tottenham. However, these guys have turned things around in just four years, and now they’re dominating the league. This raises the question of whether it can work at United, which is a bigger challenge, but I believe you’ll return to the Champions League next season the guy is especial.

Rio, he is a great coach, tactically and technically, but more important than that, the. way he manages the players, their relations and interconnections, their spirits, their union towards a common goal, it's absolutelly fantastic. Man United fans will be surprised by his communication skills and his very direct style, there are no tabus, he just lays it all out to players, fans and media plain and simple. He is an incredible communicator and people manager, very charismatic, and THAT is the difference between being above average or excellent. I have no doubt that he will unite everybody regardless of their individual interests towards Man Utd bigger interests, I am trully sorry to see him leave my club, but wish him and Utd the best! 😎

i don’t think anyone could question ten hag’s record and what he achieved at ajax but coming to united it was apparent pretty early that he had difficulty communicating he fell out with ronaldo almost instantly and fans rushed to take the managers side (myself included) but there was many countless times after this. maybe it was the language barrier at first but communication on a tactical and a personal level is so important for professionals who have many options i think the fans saw his ambition but he didn’t have the personality to inspire the success he wanted what you said about ruben is music to my ears. heard many sporting fans speak highly of him and what he can bring, just like they did of bruno 4 years ago ❤️

Believe me as a Sporting fan: give this guy time and you won't be sorry. You might not win everything you've dreamed of, but you will LOVE watching your team play, will LOVE the vibe between the players and if you don't win you will always be up there fighting until the very end. Do expect lows, a few ones, sometimes lasting some months, but get the overall rising curve. This guy knows what he is doing, but it's step by step, and it takes years. He took around 4 years to change our mentality at the club, but there is no going back now. Our players tripled their value under him, and we have been scoring for over 50 games in a row, and we won 2 leagues out of 4 (we were on a self-canibalistic-downwards spiral for many years before him). I dont know the depth or face of your own MU monsters. (I guess you might need to get rid of some prima-donna players...), but enjoy Rúben, its going to be a fun ride ;) His motto is: "What if (this time) we get it right? 🙃"

Players need more of a relationship type of coach. Somebody who they can trust and have a laugh with. Not for them to be coached specifically. That's why Alex Ferguson lasted so long. His man management skills were incredible. If Ruben is 50% to 70% as successful in that area of the job as Sir Alex was then the results will come naturally. Just like in Ruud's first win. He's a great players coach. He puts his ego to the side and knows what the fans and players want. I hope Ruben keeps Ruud in his coaching set up, at least for this full season.

@endlessendless2391 No, they are not. We just hired multiple execs that only started their job under a manager signed with a previous regime so couldn't fully fill them. When people compare Amorim and Ten Hag I feel there are two big differences. On the league front, Portuguese players and Portuguese league players seem to adapt much better to the prem than Dutch and Dutch league players. Bruno, silva, cancelo, Ronaldo etc. of course you have Ake, Van djik etc but I feel in recent years the Portuguese league has been stronger. Ajax also play the same way no matter who the manger is. Now that varies but they have a club system. Amorim came into a club in chaos. No success in 19 years. He steadied the ship, got rid of players and turned it around. No real indication he’ll succeed of course but it feels like a better recipe for success
@parmentier745721 күн бұрын
According to the UEFA coefficient list, the Dutch league is still higher than the Portuguese league. I don't know if the Dutch are less adaptable than the Portuguese in the Premier League. Ronaldo is a legend in the Premier League, but there are also many successful Dutchmen like Van Persie, Van der Sar, Overmars, Van Nistelrooy, Stam, Bergkamp, Hasselbaink, etc. New Dutchmen who are now emerging are Gravenberch, Gakpo (Liverpool), Van de Ven (Spurs) and Timber (Arsenal). But with the national team, Portugal is always better than the Netherlands.

Rio, when you said what formation do we play, why not more than 1 formation? If you are good, you can play many formations, ask Anchelotti

Looking forward to an identity of play, bigger trophies after the last 2 and a half wasted years. Liverpool wanted him, City lined him up. Bring on looking forwards to new energy and not a drained distant one like under ten Hag. Welcome Amorim. 🇾🇪
@darshanpatel901821 күн бұрын
Ten hag was ruthless and he did try to give us the identity, but the players let him down. Just like Ole. People said we didn’t have identity under ole and now Ten hag. It’s a same story

as a Liverpool fan, this worries me, because he is exactly who I would chose if I was appointing new man u manager (assuming I was not trying to bring you down from the inside) , hate to say it, but its the best choice Man u could make

With Ruben Amorims formation,this lineup would be nice Onana Yoro. Deligt. Martinez Dalot. Mainoo Ugarte Mazaroui Bruno. Garnacho Hoyjlund
@JM-1Le-d9p20 күн бұрын
No way Yoro or Maz. Bruno is false 9. Amad and Erikson should play instead of Mainoo.

Ruud Van Nistlerooy should absolutely stay at United 👆🏻 even after Ruben Amorim comes in,we cannot have a situation like when Sir Alex left where we didn't didn't take into account what direction club will go with handling management on and off the pitch.

What he did to Arsenal last year in Emirates says everything about his talent as a manager...at the end of that game Arteta face was like he couldn’t understand what Sporting done and why he lost, because tactically Amorim was far superior...

Chill.....I or neither of our fan base knew Amorin like they claimed to be.T.Hag was tactically very impressive at Aijax and majority of our fan act like he is he Pep 2.0.

You know what it’s done he’s here I hope there’s changes and we hit the ground running hopefully the manager does the same.. but I genuinely would of gone all out for Nagelsmann in think he would of been absolutely perfect!!!!

If Amorin doesn’t work then we should look at the players like Micheal Rashford, Barry Maguire, Larry Shaw, Vincent Lidleloff and Jerry Evans coz they been there the longest
@JorgeCanela21 күн бұрын
Gyokeres is the best striker in the world after Haaland, with the advantage of being able to come in from the left or the right. He has better ball control and dribbling and is built like a tank on rockets. So, if you have to break the bank for Gyokeres, it is worth it. It's incredible no one picked him up from the Championship...
@rucien21 күн бұрын
Hopefully that will mean the end for Rashes and Shaw, they have been given a free pass for long time just because they are local lads
@gavinthegoliath21 күн бұрын
Shaws not local we bought him from Southampton. But he can't maintain his fitness and has replaced phil Jones in the medical department. Time for him to go I think. Rashford... its tough, maybe one more chance? I feell Amorin is gonna be on the level with the lads and I just hope he can get consistency from Marcus. That's all we want.
