The tightness depends on the stylist. This particular is extremely painful. Look at the first raw, she has a red patch on the first line. The stylist had hard hands.

Yeah you'll just do the same without adding anything. Added hairs for volume & length; clean, cohesive styling . Also let's style last longer, slowing the frizz of our natural hair =longevity of the style. This advice can be used for any style BTW ❤

Yes. But doing it without adding hair would cause it to get frizzier faster, which is why ppl also use hair when getting box braids, cornrows, etc.

I never knew extensions help it last longer. My 10 yr old gets flat twists and cornrows. Gels make her scalp itch w/in a day. And she doesn't want extensions bc she did a research report abt them. I guess we're stuck with the frizz. Thx for this 👍🏾
