11. How to grout like a pro

They call me a "pro" as I like putting down Tile, and Vinyl. THIS video, just taught me a newer, and easier way to grout. I always thought of grouting as a pain in the ass, until I applied this method. Thank YOU sir.

you should wipe at a 45 to the grout lines. you won't have to raise your sponge and you can get a clean wipe first time go after first wipe.

Do you need to cover the whole tile in grout or do you just need it in the gaps?

tingsgwan the goal of grouting is to only get it in the gaps between the tiles. Some people use a 'pastry bag' to put the grout only in the gaps-this is needed if the tiles are very textured or if grouting between stone like on a fireplace. On large format tiles-like 24x24 or bigger, I only put grout on the gap areas. But for smaller tiles, I find it is easier to use the method that I demonstrated. Thanks for your question!

You H pattern that nice wood looking tile and if you had a better float you would not leave so much grout to clean up. But good job for you
