Bruh… most slept On person I have ever found. I been rocking w you Since pandemic and you have always been so nice to Me, lengthy replies in depth, even if my question was answered in a video Or in the exact video I commented on, you went full case study explaining it and not in an ELI5 way either, challenging my engineering critical thinking skills. It’s so Rare for humans like You To Exist man, also I’ve seen you handle Trolls in such a sauce way that I admire because you never once were rude or belittle them you just explained why they were mistaken on their false accusation (their attempt to hate was saying you had the wrong key in Melodyne , even though that didn’t mattt for the specific use case bc we were gonna pull the notes into the key manually later in further steps ; they tried to clown saying this guy has the song in the wrong key, wow “ haha and I will never forget how salty he was when you sauced him and he didn’t wanna show any humility still 😂 Anyway - hope you know how much I love you 5!!!! From So cal!!!!!

@@5piece yes suh! outstanding work young man.. I know you'd disect my stuff.. lol.. I was use to analog late 80's early 90's.. Tape, you know.. I use Logic.. just for fun though bro, help the young kats. lol

@@JTFullersounds like you learned the hard way, which I imagine makes you appreciate the new, easier ways. We really have it made now and with AI on the come up, it’s only going to get easier 👀 It’s funny tho - I love that analog stuff especially for production. I have so many plugins - but if I want to make a beat, I’m more creative with just a single synth than 1,000 VSTs. Limitations / restrictions can enable MASSIVE creativity. 💪🏼 plus most of these digital producers are trying to sound analog anyway so may as well cut to the source 😂

Great free dynamic EQ's I use that are very similar to Pro-Q: TDR Nova, Initial Dynamic EQ and ZL Equalizer.

TDR Nova is soooo good 🔥🔥🔥 thanks for mentioning the others, I’ll have to check them out and maybe include ‘em in a future video 👀

UUUHH i see what u doin with the Reverb. :) i think i should go back to my Fabfilter- Rverb. Step four was very great explained aswell. I hear how the keys body came up and suddenly it gets the room to be in. great vid! ❤🔥

I really need to try out FF Reverb myself. I imagine, if it’s as intuitive as anything else FF does, then it probably makes so much of the mixing process easier 🚀 glad I could help 👊🏼

So when you use hpf what if it causes phase issues ?
@5piece2 ай бұрын
You'd hopefully use your ears and judgement to decide in the moment. Every situation is unique and requires its own special attention and decision-making. While I can understand that some viewers may misunderstand aspects of what I'm saying - I hope they can understand that just because I show off 5 specific steps doesn't mean you HAVE to do all 5 of these steps every time. I explain this towards the end of the video at 21:46 Should I Always Make These Moves? There can very well be situations where you don't use a step at all - such as not filtering if you find it introduces audible phase issues - or not solving frequency masking because there isn't any taking place, and so on. Hopefully this helps.

And are you using hpf for 2 track beat ?
@5piece2 ай бұрын
I discuss my approach to mixing vocals over 2-track beats in this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKGaimBohdF_ZrMsi=2sxwiuxTms068vwt I typically avoid excessive filtering (and really, filtering at all) unless its absolutely necessary. Most times, I 'm leaving 2-tracks as they are as anything I do will affect everything and usually be much more destructive than it is helpful (unless of course the situation calls for it)
