I am a female revert and lives in Sweden and my reason was that Islam present justice, moral and logic and common sense. And I stand up (And I will stop use the word support because this is not a game where you pick which team to cheer for) for Palestine not because of the color of their flag but because its the right thing to do when you see Injustice Please , stop talking about the Egyptians as if Egyptians as a people gave some help to them. I was always raged when ever I came to know that salman is changing the rules. Now I understood my rage was right. I remember Dr. Israr Ahmed (ra) always saying wailul Lil Arab 3times. Because they're drowned in worldly pleasures and the punishment is sure to come to Saudi only after that they will come to right path and they will fight along with Palestine brothers and sisters and the victory comes to Muslims.
