On top of the dumbbell head joint, I was also disappointed by Walmart Venom's gummy limbs. Still, this is the first new Venom figure I've bought in seventeen years. Being able to preorder one by himself, at normal retail price for a single ML, was the big catalyst for finally upgrading.

Honestly surprised at the gummy joints, never seen anyone with that problem and both my copies are stiff too

Figure is so close to being perfect but the neck peg really drops the ball

All this guy needs is to be pinless, toe hinge, better neck articulation, and an Eddie Brock head. Fully unmasked, not half. If he had those few things he'd be a definitive Venom for sure.

I didn't even know about this figure until an FB toy collector group started posting their pics of their orders being delivered. The last thing on my mind in August was action figures. I had a 3 day trip to plan for and go on, dealt with a stolen phone, adjusted to a new job (after 6 years of working in cabintery), and all kinds of other shit. Life gets busy sometimes. Really upset that I didn't hear about this figure until it doubled in price, because now I'm watching reviews trying to figure out if it's even worth it or not.

It’s not a McFarlane design. It’s Mark Bagley’s design when he was drawing Venom during the “Lethal Protector” story arc in ‘93-‘95. The old smiling Venom head sculpt Hasbro did for the Absorbing Man wave Venom was the McFarlane design.

I’m still hoping that we get a blue Venom, Hasbro loves getting their mileage from a mold, take us for a ride and give us some of that Marvel Vs Capcom cyan symbiote gold.

How take; I think the Knull 2 pack venom is the absolute best venom. Other than the holes on his back, he’s perfect. The one on the omega red body just looks like a old toy biz figure with its weird proportions

Next time you get a chance to do a Marvel review (or any review you choose), I politely request that you have a comparison shot of all the Hasbro Marvel Legends Spider-Man figures in a line-up so i can see them all side by side, if it wouldn't be too much trouble to ask. I'm trying to decide which one I like the most before I buy.

I did kind of leave that open ended huh? What I would say is if you have the three pack version and you're happy with it, just stick with that one. If you don't have either, aside from the extra heads there is not a demonstrable enough difference between the two that you couldn't just go for the one that's more affordable. That said, I think I still like the 3 Pack better

I don’t know if I’m in the minority here but I genuinely don’t like the reverse ab crunch as a joint. If they’re gonna do 2 joints I’d much rather have another ball peg at the bottom. As is, he’s limited in his torso.

I think they were thinking that a dumbbell looks better because you don't see the joint, but that they weren't really thinking it all the way through

Not gonna lie, i doubt I'll get this one bc off scalpers and bs distribution. Im rather suprised my wallmarts got the iron man retro waves and the new batmen but i feel this one will be the one to never be gound near me

Tbh ill stick with my 3p venom, dremel-ed the marvel select smiling head onto him and he looks amazing. Hasbro really missed the mark on not giving the walmart one better neck articulation, a waist ball peg just to give him an edge, and pinless joints to help with the gummy calves and arms tho.

Probably not reviewing the new movie one because it's not really all that different from the first release except for the tendrils in the back. My guess is they used the King in Black upper torso for that, so I'm predicting it will be compatible. We'll see, though. I may cave and get it

It’s crazy but I still don’t really like ANY of the open mouth tongue heads Hasbro has made yet. I’m still waiting for them to do that Lethal Protector-era Bagley style Venom with the giant snake teeth and swirly tongue. Nothing else has really grabbed me.
