LED lights are a total game changer! I put some on my SUV a few months ago and wow! camping in remote places now is amazing. You did a great job! I had them installed for me lol

Awesome! You may also need to lower your lights. A lot of people complain that they get flashed when you switch to LED. I especially did because I also have a lift so I made adjustments. Could you do a video on cleaning the engine bay? 😁 I would love to see that!

I have started using my DRLs only when needed, just for that reason. Next time I crack open the fender area I’ll fiddle with the aim. I’ll be sure to better document the next engine bay cleaning 😄 I think she just masked off the battery terminals with plastic, pressure washed, and wiped it dry. 🤔

Those were definitely the hardest! It was much easier on the driver's side, for whatever reason (more room? ability to work right-handed?) . High beams were a piece of cake, low beams weren't bad as long as the gasket is oriented correctly 😬 , and fogs weren't bad either.

check where your oil filter is. for 20+yrs i have been ging threw the top or bottom to change it. about 4 yrs ago i found if i turn the steering i can access the oil filter from behind the drivers side rear of the front tire. front lights are allways hard to do. you have all the raditor grill work in the way. the rear lights are usually easier. one project i have done is to install fogs on the rear down low & wire them into the back up light wires. more light when backing up at night.

@ShoestringMartha U got the best choice for ur 4Runner maam. The Lasfit - LAair H11 and 9005, LD plus switchback H11 fog, and 7443 T3 switchback is a big upgrade and worth buying Lasfit products. But I would honestly change the Lasfit 9005 led bulbs because of the orientation is way off automatically. Orientation matters, which means u need the two sided led chips facing left and right so the led diodes will use the reflectors much better and the light output will shoot much further down the road better. I highly recommend get Lasfit - LA plus 9005 high beam led bulbs, and get the Lasfit - anti flicker kit. If u don’t mind using ur high beam as a drl. They will stable very well, but it will be on almost full power and its ultra bright to use as a high beam. If that’s what u prefer go right ahead. Even on daylight it’s ultra bright. If u don’t want that, I would check the infotainment system and check the settings and see if there’s a high beam drl on and off option. If not, u can pop the fuse out of the box for DRL function, that’s locate u see the steering wheel behind the panel. But I don’t think u can do that if u have that setting on ur infotainment system. Again. Get the LA plus and anti flicker kit if u want high beams to be ultra bright drl.

The Lasfit - LC plus is the 25W led bulbs? Which is the affordable option and they are plenty bright for daily use. But if u want a reliable brightness, get Lasfit - LS plus 65W

Glad you’re here! 😄 I think you’ll really like the light. It’s wicked bright, long battery life, strong magnet. Takes a minute to figure out the buttons, since they select both brightness and color, but then it’s easy.

Not sure why, but I found installing the driver's side bulbs way easier. Maybe because I has already done it once or maybe because I could use my dominant hand. I have heard some people have trouble getting around the battery, but I did not have a problem with that.

Okay , I ordered the same one that was on your link.,the driver I can’t turn the bulb to lock coz of the thickness of the fan housing. Thanks for responding.

Interesting. Did you try re-using the old O-ring from the original bulb? The new O-rings are very thick! If so, also make sure that it's on there correctly. I put the one on my passenger side on upside down, and it made it really difficult to lock in the bulb.

Yes I used the old o ring. I even tried it without it. The problem is that the fan housing is thick , I can position the bulb on the hole but I can’t turn it to lock coz it will rubs against the housing of the headlight. I have no problem on the passenger side. What year is your 4runner? Mine is 16 maybe they have different headlight housing?

So weird that it works on one side and not the other. I wonder if maybe they sent you an incorrect bulb. I have a 2018, so I would think our headlight housings would be pretty similar. Consider reaching out to Lasfit support, because I am absolutely stumped. 🤔
