Is there a way to turn off the sound? The voices in the background are distracting.

This is the reason why her estrus hasn't returned. She clings to kintaro like he is a infant. It is likely at her age that her estrus will never return now.

I adore the Momotaro family! They are my favorite gorilla family in Japan. But, it's better if Genki does not have any more babies. Japan has a gorilla problem they are unwilling to solve. There's no plan for all the young adult gorillas currently in their zoos. Gentaro, Kiyomasa, Annie, Komomo and Momoka are stuck with no where to go. And, Kintaro and Riki will soon join the group. It's a sad situation.

@@seasonsofphilly1993 I agree 100%. I don't think she could handle another baby anyway. But you are right. What Japan is doing doesn't seem like a breeding program, like the rest of the zoo's. They have had these young gorillas whole lives to plan for their future and they have done nothing to prepare. They say it is a issue of money. But if they don't have the money to do it right then they shouldn't have primates.

@@seasonsofphilly1993Doesn't Japan form part of an international breeding or conservation program?
@seasonsofphilly19932 ай бұрын
@@cccsssish Many Japanese zoos are old and outdated. They lack the modern enclosures and habitats most zoos worldwide have come to recognize as important for animal welfare. This keeps zoos from abroad moving animals to Japan.
