Heck ya,nice job..so good to see someone pay attention to details..so many folks don't clean out the rubber from the rail and lube the injectors or o rings on standpipes and dummies..

Very helpful. Thanks. I've watched many videos that show how to diagnose a no-start condition but none that I have seen actually show how to access the rails. They simply cut from listening for an air leak to showing the rails. Since I haven't done this repair before your video fills in a lot of gaps in the process.

Thanks for this upload. I have this repair happening in the next couple of days so its good to see what this entails for good com with my shop. Great job.

Pulled the driver side motor mount and just tilted the motor over to gain easy access to the passenger side. Also works with doing heads on the 6.0 without having to make special tools to get it done. Pulling the cab on this truck is absurd and costly to do heads, Try the motor mount way and you will have no problem updating the head studs also.

@PistonShack crank no start. I think it's dummy plugs and stand pipes. Long story but like many, I have thrown lots of parts, time and money at it without success
@dlowe4047 ай бұрын
@PistonShack update. It was the stand pipe on my driver's side preventing the truck from starting. O ring was split. Thanks again.

Good video with great explanation of the procedure. If I ever experience the crank, no start, I will know where to start trouble solving.

In the middle of head gaskets on a 07 6.0. Everyone said you had to pull the cab. I’ve managed to not do that, but did make a new tool to lift the head assemblies.
@JaGGeR-6 ай бұрын
That's good news I may end up doing the same thing even though the cabs were designed to be removed relatively easily
@Sjackson23696 ай бұрын
@@JaGGeR- you’ll need something to hold the far back exhaust side head bolts up if you do, I found a little bar magnet from harbor freight works perfectly.
