Just wanted to send my thanks. Have systematically eliminated every other component from the system. No exhaust leaks or charge system leaks (25 psi) MAP reads ok orifice is clean, EBP reads ok orifice is clean and even with cat removed no change/improvement, VGT % sticks at 85% from a stop to full throttle. Makes full boost at 3k+. But no dtcs for VGT circuit codes, removed the turbo and cleaned with no change. Shame because its the classic let it sit and suffer the consequences. Will update after the repair!

you just described what's been happening with my 2005 f250 since I bought it new, only when towing our camper up a long grade, it will throw a wrench light on the dash and lose some power, I have learned that (like you said) turn the key off then back on and it would reset and be fine again. It felt like it didn't down shift soon enough maybe, but like you said it would just dump the boost when the light came on. Does this sound like the same thing ? should it throw a code ? No check engine light on... thanks, jim

What does exhaust back pressure look like under normal operation?

I did an egr delete, installed a brand new turbo and now i’m not getting any boost, I got code p0046, p1335 and couple more I can’t remember right now, can’t find the issue we put everything back like it was just a new turbo and welded the egr cooler, no tune or anything, the turbo sounds a little different than the old one (makes a noise) when the truck is at high speed sometimes make 1- 2 psi of boost no more than that

Map, MAF, Exhaust Back pressure sensor, VGT on turbo get the Torque pro app and blie tooth scan tool. Dieseltech ron has a video on how to set it up. This video is very imformative as well on testing the map

You can open up the turbo and clean it. There are many videos on how to do it properly. It's scary in the beginning but once you open it up it's easy. Just watch a few videos before doing it. I'm a diy'er and my 2003 6.0 runs great
