Thank you for this bud, definitely found this on my truck. Made sure to remove the rust. I owe you a case or two of beer!

Curious. Ford confirmed that the connector to the cam sensor was getting soaked by a leaking radiator hose. After the leak was stopped my stalling issues have been greatly reduced, though I do get the occasional stall when the engine is cold when I shift or brake. I've been keeping an eye on this with an expectation of replacing the wire or sensor or both, which I'll do myself when the weather warms up a bit. Question: did you also get this condition when idling downhill and if so, did the Cam sensor fix solve that? I am still getting stalls when I reduce throttle to go down hill (for example, the road from my house drops about 300' in a 1/4 mile). I will be rolling down the hill (brake on of course) and get the stall. I live on a dirt road and the problem could be exacerbated by thew sand/salt mix that's used on the road in winter. Trying to determine which part is the best to replace first... And let me tell you, restarts while drinking my morning coffee while descending a steep, twisty road are definitely inconvenient! Even more so when pulling a livestock trailer!

I have the same problem in my 2003 6.0 no engine light and when I drive it for a while and in idle or just in park ,it will shut off turn on like nothing and at red lights with the break pedal, did you have the same problem ?

No I have not fixed it yet. It is in fact throwing a cam sensor code so it's probably the sensor going bad. Right now every time I start it, it blows out a bunch a black smoke then clears up. It hasn't shot off since the last day I made my last comment.

Will it cause no start as well

It'll throw a p0335 as well. Remove the battery, battery tray, air filter and CAC tube and you can get at it there as well.

No mine was a oil leak on top near filters I’d lose oil pressure icp would turn off my truck had to replace the icp and fix leak After all the time and money, I spent luckily I can do all the work myself, but the most important thing I learned was use Motorcraft parts. Don’t try to wing it and use some aftermarket parts. None of them work I’ve tried all of them and if it’s not OEM on the sensors and gaskets, you will be doing it again and again and again until all those parts have been placed back to OEM Motorcraft parts.
