Why do you have your Liberos base defense on the left side if it is taking place for a middle position if you don’t mind me asking? Wouldn’t their base be in the middle? Just like the right side/setter are aligned in base, as the OH1/OH2 are aligned?

Great question! Sorry for getting back to you so late. One of the main advantages of having the Libero in the left back position is allowing the Libero take the second ball if the setter takes the first dig and you are out of system. The Libero must have excellent court awareness and ball control so that he/she can set the ball to the front row players. Secondly, having the OH2 in the middle back allows the setter to run a wider range for backrow attacks. Because they are hitting from the middle back position, they can turn both left or right to aim the ball at the opposing team's corners.

any chance you will do the video on covering the hitter?

Doesn't the Libero have to sit out 1 play after rotating out of the front row unless they are going to serve?
