I hear that man. I confided in those who truly care about me. They will understand. Even if they know nothing about substances or addiction. But feel free to come and talk to me whenever. It really helps when somebody knows exactly what you’re going through.

yeah it seems like theres something to that part: the fact that it can be really hard to talk with friends and family about the subject and actually get support. its kind of making me think starting an online support group might actually be helpful.@@ch18362

To preface, I had no good reason to use kratom aside from feeling lazy at work and wanting a boost in energy. My friend has gotten clean off fent using kratom so I know theres solid cases for it but I can tell he will struggle quitting kratom he ever tries. Dude I turned into a FEIND on kratom. After a few months I was at 8-12 (.5 gram) pills, 3 times a day. At the end I was terrified of running out. I didn’t realize it but I was feeling sicker and sicker as time went on because the withdrawal between doses got stronger as the doses got stronger. In the beginning I thought it was the miracle drug, it made me feel superhuman.. for about two weeks. Then it became just a struggle to feel normal. Praise God, I managed to make it through the withdrawals. If I ever slip and consider going back even for a second I remind myself of the days of searching my truck for lost pills between the seats so I could get the stabbing pain in my stomach to go away.

Amen to that! Never going back! That life is garbage. I’m glad you quit bro.

Thank you, this is so much help and inspiration, I reduced my dose for a few months then on March 3rd I was able to quit, the dosing down to 2.4 grams three times a day was low enough dose to walk away from. I must have thrown away more than ten kilos yesterday that I stashed away over the years. My side effects are not that bad at all. This morning on my 3rd day of being off Kratom feels really good. I can't allow myself to ever go back, I was really going mad on it. It took 6 years or more to get to this desperate point, but it is all right now. GOD bless you and thank you for the Presious time you have given us brother!

Wow! That’s awesome! That is will power! I always failed at tapering. The lowest I would get down to was maybe 20 grams a day. Then I would always start dosing heavily. God bless you too! Thank you for the kind words! 🤜🤛

Thank you brother! 🤜🤛 I thought my addiction was hopeless at times. After several failed attempts at quitting. It all starts in your head. Since you truly want to quit, just keep telling yourself over and over again, I don’t need this crap. The day I put it down for good, that’s the last time I’ll ever touch it. I’m never going back. Hype yourself up to the point where you believe it! You’ll conquer this for sure. Then ask that’s left is to take the new/extra courage and strength that you have now and apply it in your life.

Thanks for putting this out there. This was one of the hardest iv ever had to do, and I'm finally free. Thanks Keith!

Day 14 after a two-year 30g a day every day. Wow, that was my hardest challenge in my 51years. And still not done as Mr. Keith states. I would say I deserved what I got as I abused the crap out of this wonderful plant! I am a disabled vet and this plant worked like nothing else for chronic pain. Also, got me to step away from a 30-year relationship with alcohol. Trying to find a healthy pain management solution, it's a work in progress. Those that are using Kratom for fun, you're playing with fire! If in the beginning stages and reading this, drop it quick!

I'll be at 5 months tomorrow. I get cravings from time to time. Mainly because I've developed some sexual stamina issues since quitting. Does anyone have experience with this?
@StrongKeithJ8 ай бұрын
That’s awesome bro!!! Sexual stamina? I think that is just a case by case basis. What is an issue for you, might be regular for me lol. So who knows. I haven’t necessarily had this issue. Me and my wife are intimate very often, so sometimes it’s longer in duration and sometimes very quick. Usually quick I would assume. But I can say this. Kratom is not the cure.

At this point Kratom has absolutely no benefits for me, I’m ONLY taking it because I’m too much a pu**y to get through the withdrawal
@StrongKeithJ8 ай бұрын
That was me for years bro! I would have to take so much just to feel anything. I was constantly walking that line between taking enough to feel anything, and taking too much and throwing up. 🤮 I feel you bro. I was too scared for too long. But I got so sick it! I would rather be miserable physically and emotionally for a while, than to live like this. It’s worth it brother! Convince yourself!

I did kratom to get off subs I been doing pills or subs for 14 years and towards the end I felt like my brain was super foggy and I was always tired. So I decided to get off and kratom helped been on it for 3 months and now I been off kratom for 7 days and I’m hating it. I think I messed up my brain and body. So my advice is don’t compare your body to anyone else’s we all have different body chemical so withdrawal is going to be different for everyone.
@StrongKeithJ8 ай бұрын
I’m sure you did mess something up. I have a lot of body pains, mostly in my feet, but also back. For sure we did some damage. But that’s awesome you decided to quit! It’s the right choice believe me!
