It's the bipod. Shoot from a front bag. You will notice the difference. Most guns just don't like bipods.

You be flexing shooting all that 6.5 PRC ammo 😁. I cant find it anywhere unless they want my first born lol. Good video

I have three 6.5 PRC's. Two ridgelines and an MPR. They all shoot factory hornady match and precision hunters really well. all under a half. I have also shot the nosler ABLR factory ammo in one of my Ridgelines. It shot ok, right at an inch. I have the 130 federals factory ammo as well but i haven't shot them yet. My handloads with the 156 bergers shoot under a half in my rifles and at 3015fps MV. Its a hard to beat combo and does very well on deer. I wanted the noslers to shoot better for the fact they are bonded bullets. I shoot the 210's in my 300 PRC and they aren't very impressive yet. I'm still in load development with them.

@@malachiwhite356 Not with a 156 or 143 bullet, I would think you could get close with the 130's.

Maybe it was the barrel. Every new gun I have bought didn't group at all through the first box of ammo. Bythe end of the box they usually start shrinking. I have never shot any caliber eld x that wasn't sub moa. 300prc, 7mm rem mag, 6.5 creed. Awesome video.

I agree with Matthew. I have a SAKO S20 Hunter in 6.5 PRC that shoots Hornady Precision Hunter 143gr ELD-X absolutely AMAZINGLY! Might just be my rifle, I'm not sure but it is shooting these factory loads at 1/2 MOA at 100 yards.

The only ammo I can find is hornady 143gr.eldx. I'd sure like to try federal thermal accent 130 gr or anything else just to compare but it can't be found

Did you take barrel heat into consideration? For ever shot you take the lest precise the next shot will be.

I think the Terminal Assent is the best bullet made for all velocity impacts but a 150 grain would be more appropriate hunting bullet for large game.

I agree, I’d like to see a 150 for 6.5 and 165 for 7prc

@@gear101. I'm using Normal Oryx bonded 156gr as a brush bullet. Working on Speer Impact 140gr also bonded .646 BC. for long range applications. I do know that Nosler Accubond Lr 150gr is available but you need to order asap to get them by next year or so.
@Manbunmen655 ай бұрын
In my Bergara premier approach the terminal ascent is running on average 3150 fps with the high at 3180 and low at 3114. That's with about 15 rounds through it on two different occasions. You know what's really funny if you look up .264 win mag, you will see it is recommended for all large game in north america. But not the 6.5 PRC and it's ballistics are identical. And this is what people think as well.

I think, the 6.5 PRC would be an awesome round here in northern Europe, but it's close to impossible to get 6.5 PRC here in Europe, because it's so unknown here. I have to import it from the US, and plus taxes and VAT I'm paying $130 for 20 rounds, on a Good day. and that's the standard price. So importing different kind of brands would be CrAzY expensive. :))

3 could be a happy accident. Need a lot more data (7-10 3 shot groups) before we can be sure what a rifle / ammo combo can do.

Liking your videos a lot! Sounds like your in the Fargo area, I’m in Bismarck. I just picked up a 6.5 PRC Ridgeline. Two questions for ya...what scope did you top yours with? (I’m leaning toward the Leupold VX-5HD 4X20) And...which model Javelin bipod did you get?
@gear101.3 жыл бұрын
Bipod is the Pro Hunt model. And I always go with Leupold. This one has the vx5 3-15. I think its a better option for 1000 yard and under hunting just for weight and 3 power in thick stuff. If youre going to do more target shooting then the 4-20 may be a better option.
@badlandoutdooradventures54733 жыл бұрын
I shoot the ridgeline in 6.5 prc, topped it with a Leupold VX 5HD. Love the performance of the scope. If you can find them, I have found the factory Nosler accubond in the 140 is incredibly accurate. Shoots better than the ELDX, Accubond Long Range and the Terminal ascent in my rifle. However the ABLR was a very close second.

This subjective cartridge comparison ranks somewhere between ignorant and (possibly) arrogant. How the case (of any cartridge) is sized to any gun's shoulder, how a cartridge's powder-type and load performs toward pressure creation and (therefore) jump dynamics into the barrel's lands, and how any gun's barrel twists, vibrates and emits a round, are but three key factors for dispersion (sometimes erroneously described as accuracy). NONE of these you considered.
