I just put GMC 8 in my 6.5 love it I did also upgrade my pmd the throttle response is amazing now

Running the Super54 here (replaced a GM8). I originally wanted the Super60 but due to my altitude (about 4500') Quadstar told me the Super54 would run much better. Love the turbo and have bought a ton more upgrades from quadstar (FSU, injectors, intake manifold, etc). Next thing is upgrading axles to a set of 4:10s I have as the 3:42s feel the under geared with 35s.

Yes it is ok on a stock set up, just watch the boost pressures if you haven't done head studs. I would also recommend talking to the guys at Quadstar tuning to make sure it's the best option for your particular situation 👍

I want to supper 60 and heavy Quadstar tune and custom 5" down pipe back exhaust and big 7" chrome tip on 45 behind the passanger rear tire on my 6.5.... some day 🙂

Hey there Nick, we actually used to sell the Big d decal on the idea Legends website. Unfortunately we're having several issues with air bubbles getting trapped inside and our decal maker wasn't up to the task so we discontinued them. We hope to bring them back at some point but right now it just isnt possible

Love your vids Looking to install a new turbo on a 94 k3500 used only to haul a huge cabover camper with a two horse, horse traler. Heavy hauling loads, almost always. Needing power but reliability above all. Favorites? Thanks, love watching your stuff.. I'm a gasoline guy, Really good mechanic, but little diesel experience and special tools, but I can pretty much do anything with wrenches, nuts, and bolts.. Any advice really appreciated!

Thanks man I appreciate it, as far as my favorite turbos to go with the super 54 from quadstar tuning you can't go wrong. Super 60s another good choice but I would definitely talk with them seeing which turbo is the best fit for you in your situation but the super 54 is definitely in my opinion one of the best alternatives. As far as differences between gasoline and Diesel the 6.5 is pretty bare Bones is not a whole lot of differences other than of course compression ignition.

Personally I only use ARP head studs that's just what I like to use, I know you can get other head stud brands cheaper and so on but I've always used ARP and I've never had any issues with them.

Hey when I look up HX 35 turbos it says for Cummins does that matter?

The hx35 was often found on the cummins so its marketed as such. It will work on your 6.5
