6 ABORTED LANDINGS, WINDSHEAR GO AROUND, DIRECT CROSSWIND at Manchester Airport 27/1/19

An extremely windy day for much of the UK, with winds exceeding 60mph in some places, MAN was subject to wind from the North West reaching peak gusts of 38 knots. The direction meant that aircraft landing on 23R were faced with a 90 crosswind and sometimes a tailwind. Some extremely bumpy approaches and landings with multiple aborted landings from a variety of aircraft. I hope you enjoy the video!

Atc do not get notified of windshear warnings at Manchester. They have to rely on pilot reports. The first Jet2 737 that went around reported they were going around due windshear

Ryanair never does a go around, no matter how many times they violate FAA rules they still land

@Spaced Raider 1. Theres no need to be rude as this is just my opinion 2. The FAA regulations state that a plane should go around if upon landing it bounces and rises 3 metres above the ground of which ryanair to me seemed to bounce upto that level nevertheless they continued their landing. This act was enacted after the FedEx crash which was caused by a bouncy landing and the pilots not going around 3. Dont tell me that Ryanair has a 3 year safety record, Ryanair did an emergency landing sometime last year at Frankfurt due to their own technical problem which they didnt fix, this clearly tarnished their safety record. So listen here who ever you are, dont come here and make allegations without evidence to back them up, i really hate it when people start judging my opinions cz thats how i see things and an opinion is never right or wrong so stop with that harsh comment directed to me otherwise uzowukhomba uMuzi onoTshwala

Ryanair are a perfectly safe airline and in their history have only had one aircraft written off, even this was not their own fault and was infact due to multiple bird strikes. Here in the Uk we do not adhere to the regulations of the FAA as they are purely for the USA. We adhere to CAA and ICAO regulations. Ryanair pilots will go around when they see fit as with other pilots of other airlines, there is some ridiculous stigma surrounding Ryanair suggesting they are not safe when since they started operations, they have not had a single death or serious injury. I have filmed plenty of Ryanair aircraft go around, in fact one went around due to being unstable in the wind (good decision by the pilot) just as I was arriving

Well Roy, sorry if this isn't to your taste, but if you really prefer this angle please go ahead and watch other videos, i'm not stopping you. Manchester is very limited when it comes to viewing spots that aren't hindered by fences or other obstructions so finding one with a good view of the touchdown zone of the landing runway can be hard. I did my best given the circumstances I had, and well nearly 150 people liked the video, so i'm going to go off the majority on this one, perhaps I could suggest you watch my Leeds Bradford video as the spot looks down the runway
