The Ombre video is really worth watching! Goes through a lot of different patterns and fabrics and gives you a lot of ideas. Sadly, can't find the same sort of ombre fabric seen on these videos, in Australia and it'd cost 75 to 100$ per yard to buy it from the US ☹

Fran, could you please start putting the names of the fabrics when you don't stock the yardage? Maybe in the details below the video. These beautiful fabrics in the kits usually are sold in a couple of hours and they are really hard to source. Most of them I've never seen anywhere else. To buy from the USA is prohibitively expensive for Australia. Eg a yard of your bolts would cost around $70 aud! I can source some of I know the name of the fabric. Any ombre you've shown has never been available anywhere else else in the world 😩 Wish I could teleport myself to USA, buy fabric and beam back!

OK. You put it in the correct spot but the numbers were confusing.

I am a little confused by your treatment of chain reaction. You called the ombre fabric your number two and used it in the snowball block which you called the number two position. I would hve thought both would have been considered the focus fabric and number one position.

She means that putting the ombre into the no.2 position allows it to be the focus. If she had put it in the no 1 it wouldn't have stood out. It's not really this particular fabric that is maybe confusing but that the pattern itself has the snowball in the no 2 position. Just the way they've written the pattern. I would have thought it (snowball design) would have been the no 1 position in this pattern but then, I've never designed a pattern so I will bow to their skill and experience :) With this fabric, it works brilliantly. I think she is showing that you can change the rules any time you like. If it works for you and the fabric and pattern. If that makes sense.
