For making the snowball corners I use the Creative Grid Folded Corner Clipper to trim the corner leaving me with just yet another 1/4" seam. It's my favourite tool which would be replaced immediately if it ever broke. One thing I would mention is that for small pieces I reduce the seam length from 2.5 down to 2.0. It's one time I reduce stitch length to reduce the risk of the seams opening up.

Thank you for this video. I cut 2.5” squares and other sizes out of leftover material and then sew the 2.5” squares together using the leader/ender method. That means when I finish sewing another block for another project I sew two 2.5” squares together on the end. This allows me to use a lesser amount of thread and also create extra blocks for another project, like this. So I will make this project out of 2.5” squares and the background will be 4.5” (2.5 x 2 = 5, then 5 minus 1/2” = 4.5”). Eventually will have all of the blocks created and sewn together to make this project. Love it many thanks.

I am currently cutting fabric for a quilt and cutting the leftovers into 1 1/2" squares. I was so happy when I saw this pattern. Great video. I'll be putting this on my summer quilting list. Really enjoyed your style and subscribed pretty early in the video.
