You are the best blackjack training channel out there, keep up the great work! Also could you make a video talking more about the deviations, and how much more edge it gives us if played correctly?

Hey, thanks!! Just speaking generally, adding the top 20 or so deviations adds about 20-25% more winnings over time. I am a high school teacher, and once school is out, I plan to hit the videos a lot harder and cover these much needed topics!

@@A1-BJto follow on this comment, a stacked deck that will have a ton of deviations already set up to come out would be a great video too. I’d love to see a counting video where we play out most of the I18. By the way, I’m playing a lot of 6 deck with surrender in Las Vegas and 2D no surrender. I know you mentioned surrender is going away at most places, but MGM properties have it on their 6 and 8 deck games. Their 2D games are S17. Their high limit 6D games are S17, and their 50 minimum and lowers are H17.

Also, MGM 6 deck is good pen (about .5 to .75 deck cut off). Their 8 deck cuts off 2 decks. Is that good or bad on the 8 deck?

Good video. I like counting double and 6 decks. I also sometimes play 8 decks. So a mix of all of these are good. I watch them on 2X speed and count along with you.

I count the count as D4, so, off by 1 in the end.

Great vid! You should take a marker and write your count on a piece of paper BEFORE settling the deck (just to keep you honest 😉)

Also, +23 based on my modified KO count would have been the exit strategy and we were at +26 when you quit. So it’s definitely close with the hi-lo but as far as memorizing and simplicity with the deviations I love to e KO

I based it on 2 decks left but if 1.5 left the exit strategy was correct for KO too

I like using the KO method and customized it. I start at +10 and my bets start to increase at +25 (also 16 vs. 10 deviation) and rest of deviations and insurance happen at +35 and above

Third time should have been insurance also. I was counting along with the KO count, and it was right at the border of insurance. We would have been 3 for 3

Ya the third time was close. My KO count said it would be insurance but it was borderline. With the hi-lo it must have been No but we would have won it.

I also had D 5, it hit like +10 twice I feel like at true 4 or higher you should play 3 hands. I love the practice, but how would I count if its pitch cards in double deck?

Count them only when they are flipped up for good. BJA has a great videonon this.

Unless you're hitting table max at your top bet at two hands and literally need to go to 3 in order to generate more EV, there's no reason to go beyond two hands. Also another consideration is that playing three hands will draw extra attention from the pit/surveillance.

Doesn’t the dealer show the burn card? That will affect our count right?

The dealer doesn't usually show the burn card. You treat it as part of the cut-off of the penetration.

When you stayed on 16 at 15:15 the count was +5 correct? Cause obviously against the book but on what count do you start making those crazy moves like that?

16 v. 10 is a stand at any positive running count. These aren't crazy, but these are called deviations. There are about 18-30 that most pros know and use, and the account for around 20% of a counters advantage.
