You might also enjoy visiting in the fall because they're pretty scarce that time of year. Especially that far north once it starts getting cool at night. Yes, there are about 46 miles of hiking trails in the park and the North Country Trail goes right through it. It really is a lovely area. We look forward to bringing you the nighttime photography from the park as well. Stay tuned!!!

Thanks, Tammy and Scott. Yes, it is very strange to know that you're hiking on land that is often submerged. We didn't do a good job of showing when our feet were sinking because we were busy scrambling to get through those areas without losing our shoes. LOL The park is definitely a great one to put on your bucket list for when you come to Michigan, though!!! No, we actually don't have any snow on the ground right now other than what was piled up from previous storms. It has been a strange winter so far. We've gotten clobbered about 3 times and have gotten up to 25 inches each time. But then the weather warms way up and all of it melts before more comes. I'm alright with that! Hope you're enjoying your time in Florida. Looking forward to checking out your RV Life Expose video!!! 😁

Great video! We've been empty-nesters for a few years now. We agree about finding ways to do things together that you both enjoy. Tim is embracing all the quirky sites that I like to stop and look at, and I'm embracing craft beer, lol! Together we're enjoying our adventures. Can't wait for the spooky night time photo shoot!

I'm a jeans guy, but hiking pants intrigue me. What should I look for if purchasing a pair? We have also invested in a very small hiking backpack. While it doesn't have the hydration bladder it can accept one. We can keep water, granola, jerky, etc in there along with keeping a small first aid kit and bug repellent. We aren't serious hikers, but enjoy trails up to 3 miles or so. And yes, almost every trip we have to stuff a wet tent into large garbage bags and set it back up at home due to rain just before pack up.

Dennis likes hiking pants to be breathable, sweat wicking, and somewhat stretchy so they don't bind as you're bending. Yes, a small hiking backpack is a great idea. Dennis often hikes with his camera gear in a backpack so I would be the one wearing it. So far, we've been getting away with my fanny pack but we may have to upgrade at some point. Sounds like we enjoy a similar length of hike. And yes, we always bring a long extra garbage bags and towels because more often than not we're packing up in the rain. (Sigh) Still worth it, though!
