Because iodine large atomic size or atomic radius Because atomic radius increases along group According to group 17 F - low atomic size Cl Br I - high atomic size If the atomic size is more then it is very easy for cation to attract electron But in case of fluorine atomic size is small So covalent character more in lithium Iodide
