All right! I have managed to do everything in the video by now, except for one thing, and that is pivoting the phone clamp itself so that I can film in portrait mode instead of landscape...! She rotated her phone so easily in the video (2:02). My device _seems_ to be identical, but when it comes to turning my phone 90 degrees, I'm stumped! It won't budge!

Thank you for showing how bright the light gets! No other reviewer (at least the ones I have come across) do this. Seems like the light isn't that bright but it's good enough for basic stuff. BTW, I don't know what this brand is supposed to be but I think the original brand is supposed to be Onsmo. Probably a lot of OEMs out there with questionable build quality.

I can’t seem to get the remote to connect to my phone. Any tips? I’ve charged the remote itself but when I hold the camera button for 2 seconds, I don’t see the blue light the instructions are talking about.

You have to connect the device to the bluetooth on your phone first. For my android I had to go to settings then connected devices and then bluetooth when the device comes up on the phone enable it.

Mine was hard to open. I gave it a sharp rap with the heel of my hand and it popped right out. Also the head gets floppy after some use so the screw (hidden behind a rubber plug) needs tightening.

Once you slide it, you have to pull it up. If you view the video, it should be there.

@@raverater9296 amazon sent me another one because i thought i received a faulty one... but the new one is exactly the same so i'm returning both & will be looking for something more sturdy that'll keep my phone from falling off while facing down to record my illustrations.

When I plugged in the remote and also the unit for charging for a few hours, the blue light keeps flashing. Does yours just stay at blue when it’s done charging? How do we know it’s full? I checked the manual but couldn’t find any guide on this.

When the charging indicator stops blinking, it means its fully charged.

You have to pair the remote with the phone first using Bluetooth. It might take a few tries to detect the remote though and make sure the remote is on.

Hi, you have to pair the device with your phone. Make sure the remote is turn on. I did have issue trying to search for the device, but after a few tries manage to get it working. Cheers.

The stand works, but if it has full height the stand foot is visible in the video :-( That really sucks. I wanted to use it for overhead shooting. Doesn't seem to be possible to turn the foot the other way.

You can just fold and bend the telescopic next step (make sure it’s fully stretched until you can see some screw ) so that the foot won’t be visible

There are also 2 manual buttons just underneath the light itself, you’ll find them on each side of the usb-c port. Press and hold to turn on and same to turn off.

@@_chetom yes, I added my ankle weights to help support it but it is worth in in the sense that it all folds into itself, very compact for storage so, just depending on how you feel. I have an iphone 13 so maybe it is heavier than others? Not sure
