Aw thank you! Lighting is so very important when it comes to art, as well as photography and video. At least when I "gave up" photography as a profession I could transfer some of my skills into filming videos, so I haven't forgotten everything, lol. 😂 (But oh how there is so much more to learn!)

I still haven't actually tried to connect it to bluetooth, lol! I have an Oppo, maybe similar size? The clip thing is pretty sturdy and I found the base was fine on a hard flat surface, but on carpet it got a bit wobbly. Phone weight hasn't been an issue so far. 🙂

@@stampbooker It's generally fine on a hard flat surface, though I still get a bit of a forward lean due to the weight of the phone. I was on soft carpet when filming that bit so it needed some extra stabilisation.

What a handy light! I’m wondering how you got it to record in landscape with the phone being straight up and down? My iPhone has to be turned the other way?
@BeckyTregear3 жыл бұрын
On the camera/video screen there is an option to flip it from portrait to landscape mode. The little 1x number shows which way up the camera is facing, and shaking the phone a bit will make it turn on its side to get landscape mode. That is for an Android phone though....Apple may have other ideas!

That’s such a nice travel light! I like how it holds the phone and provides light all in one and it folds up nice and tidy. Lighting can be such a pain! I gave up on my soft boxes because of the color the room is painted, everything goes a weird purple grey tinted color and it drives me insane!! I’ll figure it out one day when I have a separate room for recording with plenty of space for the bulky lights😂 the castle turned out magical🪄

Oh dear, painted walls can really have an effect on lighting! My studio is still painted pure white (special paint which took me forever to find) from my photography days, though it really does need another coat because I have scuffed the walls over time. 😬

The lighting is major thing with filming, or getting the colors being close to how they are in real. I always finds those instruments being a bit flimsy after a while, i had my course of working with positioning the camera or getting the light i want, a lot of trials. You are doing great! The shadow part is inevitable and give depth most of the time. ♥♥♥
