Imagine the feeling I had after cutting up my engine Allen Millyard style and then reweld it to fit a larger modified gearbox to get 6 instead of 5 gears. So nervous for the first ride and then it all worked perfect.

Well done. I am the sort of person who will not sell a bike or car after putting this amount of DIY into it, It becomes part of me. I have 3 bikes a 1976 Kawasaki z900 with 102000 miles on it which I have owned from new, The ZZR since 1999 with 50000 miles on it and a 2006 Suzuki GSXR 1000 K6 with some 22000 miles on it. In addition I have 2 BMW cars which are respectively 11 and 9 years old. As I said I get very attached. 😃

Hehehe.... I know what you mean matey. I'm going to be keeping the bike and using it as a daily along with the SRAD when I finally turn it into a track bike, but any other projects no matter how much work goes into them will be moved on to fund the next project. Otherwise I'll just run out of funding. I don't mind though as I love working on bikes and especially love all the fabrication, so its not all bad news 😁

It is matey to be fair. The thingnis that there's loads of work involved in sorting out a gearbox, but you can't test it under load until the entire bike is back together and on the road again.... its been a good little project though 😁

Top stuff Quicky, glad it has all worked out bar the silly snagging with the leccy bits. If I may I'd suggest, an early oil change just to try & make sure that metallic paste has been well & truly washed out,,,,& be careful what you show on the road on the vid, a little blurring or cropping of the clocks can be a very handy thing. Enjoy the bike, the big Kawa's are a nice bike & a lot of fun....just remember they are big tho ;¬)

Thank you dude, much appreciated 😁👍 The handling isnt there yet and it needs a bit of tweaking I think as it handles very differently now the correct springs are in it. It's quite bouncy which is just a damping issue, but I'm going to ridenit for a bit, get used to it and then start fiddling. It turns in lovely but not sure about holding a line under power 🤔
