6 Hp Mercury 1991

I bought this motor off craigslist.. wasn't running when I got it. All she needed was a good carb rebuild, a new fuel pump, some sea-foam and fresh gas and she was good to go. Still tinkering around with the idle speed adjustments, i'm close but haven't got it quite dialed in yet. I also haven't figured the linkage for the choke mechanism, I'll look at that tomorrow I guess. Just nice to see it running. Had to shut it off when the trash can started getting low on water. Oh, and one more problem I came across, the foam on the inside of the cowl had water damage and became brittle and started dropping flakes into the carb. I removed the foam

Motor is back to 100%.. primer system was easy enough to figure out.. and everythings running great

hi there mate. i am having trouble with my and i just also purchased it two days ago and it starts after many attempts but does not idle and cloncks out at full speed, just wondering wether you can help me cheers jay
