If you're developing a Pharma or Medtech product, where do you start when it comes to commercialisation? What are the early decisions you need to get right?
In our January Global Whispers webinar, our guest speaker, Janice MacLennan (Pharma and Medtech brand strategist and founder of NMBLR), shared some of her top tips for those looking to bring technologies to the US and beyond.
Here, she shares 6 key early decisions to work through for future success:
1) Focus - Where will you focus? Identify your target market and unmet need
2) Vision - What does success look like for your customers and patients? Make sure this vision is competitive, as then you'll be better placed to achieve this vision over competitors
3) Positioning and value proposition - Research your positioning and start developing your value proposition early on, as it will affect what evidence you'll need to collect
4) Change - Do you need to change behaviours for your product to be adopted? Work out what needs to change in the treatment pathway and how this will deliver value
5) Life cycle management - How are you going to evolve your product over time? Which indications and product combinations need to be studied in your clinical trials? Is your clinical evidence strategy future proofed for different launch decisions?
6) Pricing and patient access - Who is your patient? How are they insured? Where are they treated? How will this impact reimbursement?
