Summary: 1) Track your spending. Pay attention to how small expenses can add up. 2) Say "no" to want spending. Practice delayed gratification for things you can't afford. 3) Make your money invisible. Immediately move your paycheck into investments, savings, etc 4) Don't invest in what you don't understand. Take the time to understand and make the right choice when investing. 5) Don't try to time the market. Avoid panic selling. Ignore the white noise, and invest with a long term strategy. 6) Understand the tax code. Taxes are likely your biggest expense. Learn about how taxes work, and consult with a professional to strategize. Consistency is key.

Schools?? we aren't even taught the bare basic there, let alone investing...
@Aluttuh4 жыл бұрын
@@panagiotisbotonakis2349 pretty much. todays education system seems like one big indoctrination/ego manipulation scheme to make people crave a degree, aka social validation, so universities can pay their bills and professor façade. college is like renting a house, you're paying someone's bills and you're not really getting anything in return. the school of life is much more effective, more books more information more experiences... imo we should be teaching kids the fundamentals and then let their brain off the leash. there seems to be a point were school just starts to make you less of a thinker.

I recommend tracking your spending manually! I have to because I have both us and UK accounts so can't use one of those apps, so every morning I wake up and put into an excel sheet what I spent the day before. It's crazy how much I have controlled my spending with this method because every cost I add to the excel sheet stings a little, and the more I buy, the more work I have to do!
@kaedatiger4 жыл бұрын
I agree. I tracked manually with an app for a long time. Didn't have any transactions missing (like stuff paid in cash), didn't have to give anyone my bank info, and the daily practice of doing it kept my goals freshly in my mind.

Yeah- I did a “reset” for this year using the Google budget template. Don’t invest in things you don’t understand. Was given a stock tip when I got started and lost the entire amount due to the company filing bankruptcy. Fast forward, only invest in what you understand. Even better...things you use and can explain fully.

Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's views and trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and everyone's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.

*I still believe that Bitcoin is safer than gold. Gold is wonderful, and physical, but could be stolen, hard to move and divide. Hence I think Bitcoin is much more flexible to stand for any exchange, as long as we have electricity and internet. I think for some it is hard to understand the true value of Bitcoin.*

Remember guys, your like saves a financial KZbinr's willpower to make more videos which in turn educates the population since the videos are in people's recommended, and makes people more money to sustain yourself, which helps save lives, which makes them more likely to have money left over to donate and help save lives. So by doing something as simple as smashing the like button, there can be really good positive consequences that you may have never imagined of.
