this is especially funny when you consider that the government doesn't need tax money to spend money. That's the Fed's job. Taxes only establish the US-Dollar as a currency within the U.S. and in theory they should be used to redistribute wealth in a progressive way. Bidens proposal doesn't do that. Kinda stupid that the government acts as if it doesn't have any power...

and of course taxes regulate the amount of money in the economy and therefore regulate inflation

o.o SALARY PAYERS = RICH & MIDDLE CLASS people When the number of RICH & MIDDLE CLASS people become lower, the SALARY PAYERS become lower in number. More poor starv. This is why we need actual economic experts, not the voodoo we see from Biden & these laughable LEFTOYDs & CENTROYDs.
@ringostarr10383 сағат бұрын
o.o Govt needs to dump Biden & start encouraging Americans to EARN / SAVE / INVEST This is done by lowering & capping the maximum tax paid by any individual to 20% flat for every citizen. This is justice. When some one is legally earning something, society must work to protect their earnings, savings & investments - opposite of what LEFTOYDs want. This lifts people up to middle class / rich & they turn into SALARY PAYERS to lift more poor up. This is proper economics 101.
@ringostarr10383 сағат бұрын
o.o ALSO IF BIDEN MANAGES TO PULL THE AMERICAN MIDDLE CLASS DOWN Who is gonna PAY the POOR their SALARIES? The number of SALARY PAYERS are going down because of LEFTOYDS & their socialist scams they push. Now every one is equally poor. There is no sweet spot. Govt has no right on the most of these income earned as these are LEGALLY EARNED, INVESTED or SAVED income. Politicians need to be controlled.

I can appreciate Graham choosing the article's clip stating that the reason for the tax change was because of white people. I think it's because so many people earning $50k a year financed $50k Dodge Challengers.
@ringostarr10383 сағат бұрын
AMERICA WAS CREATED WHEN THE KING OVER TAXED ITS PEOPLE o.o 20% is plenty. In fact, the maximum tax that an individual is required to pay including everything must be capped at 15%. This will result in most citizens, not all, MOST being self reliant & independent of Govt, while controlling Govt scams from Politicians like Biden. Has to be done. Tired of the LEFTOYDS & their PARTY POLITICIANS nonsens. This is NOT money you earned.

Well it is true, when US went more and more towards China, people became lasy with (partly) passive income. Became influencer, dropshipper, lifestylecoaches, investors. If US wants to reshore, then the people have to go back to productivity jobs, so better getting used to the reforming and search yourself an engineering job

I'm sort of the opposite of you. Disabled, and my earning potential due to skillset was greater than my wife's (though she's persuing a credential that should change that). Also, most of my investing is done within a Roth IRA, where i utterly fail to care about tax consequences. Additionally, most of my investments are cash-secured puts, covered calls and dividend reinvestment. My options are generally long time frame, so I don't usually check every day. I completely agree that unrealized gains should not be taxed unless the basis is reset every tax season and there's some kind of deduction for loss. But probably leaving them alone is the best choice. Instead, perhaps loans secured by securities could be taxed at half of the ordinary income tax rate. (Maybe better phrased as half the loan amount is taxed as ordinary income.) I live in a depressed real estate market compared to the nation, so i don't have an opinion on the 1031 exchange. I like your idea for long-term gains. I think we should return to Ike's tax rates, especially for corporations. Employee wage expenses are deductible, so I don't see layoffs or wage reduction as a successful solution for corporations to preserve profit. Higher corporate taxes are expected to lead to increased wages and more innovation through increased R&D.

Could you make a video on how to buy a house as soon as someone turns 18 as a first time home buyer
@alfredogutierrez4u8 сағат бұрын
I believe that buyers will be the most negatively affected. Especially first time, inexperienced, english second language buyers etc. They will end up with discount type realtors, or lots of them might end up in dual agency situations. Most people do not have the time or experience to buy a home, that’s where the value of a “great” realtor comes in.
