I’m not a senior, but I aspire to be one day. Exercises like this are a safe way for anyone to improve functional balance and agility in unexpected ways. I see how it can prevent injury in more vigorous workouts to include these very mild movements in a fitness routine. Thank you.

Another fibromyalgia sufferer here, my Dr said to do Tai Chi every day. This is perfect to start with, if I over do any exercise the pain becomes worse. I need to pace myself if I want to do it longer I’ll repeat this Tai Chi. Thank you , I’m so glad I found you, I have subscribed, and I’m watching from down under, Australia 🇦🇺🐨

A friend of mine recently recommended to learn tai chi online with The tai chi academy from Chris Davis, with Discover Taiji from Adam Mizner or taijiacademy from Liang de Hua in the next lock down period What do you think?
@BWater-yq3jx2 жыл бұрын
The fact she calls this Tai Chi tells us she doesn't do Tai Chi. No point in asking her opinion. But in general, if you have no prior experience, learning online is not the best option, unless you're recording yourself and getting feedback. The fact you're watching this and then seeking her opinion on Tai Chi 😖 suggests you should learn in person from a legit practitioner.
@lesleywebber9374 Жыл бұрын
I have been practising Qigong for several years and it incorporates a lot of Cindys movements I find this video invigorating and your comment rather insulting.

@@FitnessWithCindy no but my massage therapist is Mandarine and he doesn’t speak much English but when I hurt he just repeats Tai Chi, Tai Chi. So here I am. I have watched him practice and it’s so beautiful to watch him. It’s like watching someone in a dream who really knows how to slow dance. Beautiful. Also, being that he is older than I am and significantly more flexible tells me that I need to learn Tai Chi

Why is it these Beginner or for Seniors videos go so fast with the movements?? IF this is to be effective, should you not speak slowly and not rush us through the moves?. Even if it is a 6 min wake up.. mind body and soul movements should feel rushed through No?
@FitnessWithCindy3 жыл бұрын
Good question. Exercise is such a personal journey .You have to go with what works for you. If I go too slow, the joints lock and the synovial fluid does not move through my joints. For myself, I suffer when I hold a position too long. However, many Yoga students find many benefits in holding their poses. Seek out what works for you. My daughter loves Yoga with Adrienne so you might check out her very helpful videos. Not every exercise is right for everyone. So keep up your search but mostly feel well! Input is so helpful, so thank you!

you can actually adjust the speed of the video by hitting the three dots in the upper right corner and where it says playback speed hit that and it gives you 0.5 etc. that’s how I learned how to do Zorba’s dance 😎
