Yes , but Tohru works on growing out from her doormat phase . She is a doormat for a reason, and that advances the plot ( Shigure manipulating her to end the curse so that he could go back to his toxic ex) ... unlike other mangas or anime where the girl is a doormat for no reason.. almost like a male fantasy where her only job is being a slave and let the guy treat her horribly and sleep with other girls .

Sure they'll have series featuring a homesexual character on occasion, but rarely do they develop it as an on-screen relationship. My favorite trope is when character A is afraid of character B, but B is a nice person, and doesn't get, why A acts so weird. Sometimes it happens because of misunderstanding, sometimes character A is just paranoid what B is out to get them. I love the dynamic!

Jennifer Sotelo I see amnesia plots to often and the make me so annoyed I enjoy amnesia due to things like trauma not oh no mc bonked his head at the beginning of episode 3 and the plot point won’t get resolved until episode 28 but the plot will run in circles and the way they regain their memories is in some dumb way that makes no sense.This bugs me because I did a little bit of research (not a ton) but these types of head injuries are rarely recovered from. I also see the accidentally cheats amnesia plot married girl gets amnesia and then proceeds to end up on the other side of the country. Falls in love with another guy and receives the problem when all her memories return oh no I’m already married and without knowing that i was cheating dated this guy for 16 months. Basically what I’m trying to say is amnesia plots have gotten stale and are only fresh when done well.

Yeah, when done properly anything can be good. While I agree that it would get stale in such a manner, I haven’t seen it done to that extreme in any show. It can still be done short and simply but also create some tension. It’s almost like an excitement in seeing a ship finally come together, slowly, but in reverse. I guess I’m just a sucker for plots where they fall in love all over again or befriend other characters again as well.
