6 Muay Thai Low Kick Setup Techniques

Landing the low kick is sweet, but having your kick blocked is no fun and hurts like a bitch. Try adding some of these advanced muay thai low kick techniques to your arsenal of attacks.
Here are the 6 muay thai techniques you'll find in the tutorial video:
1. Fake and Drag - Fake a low kick by turning your hip slightly and dragging your back foot. This will ideally draw your opponent's leg up to try to check your attack. Once they plant their foot back down, that's when you throw the low kick.
2. Stiff Arm - Use a stiff arm or a long guard to drive your opponent back. As your opponent steps back, time your low kick when he/she puts all their weight on one foot.
3. Clinch and Push - While disengaging from the clinch, push your opponent back and land a low kick as their foot plants on the ground
4. Kick Straight Through - Screw their check! Kick straight through their block and aim for their back leg.
5. Submarine Kick - Maybe you don't want to do a shin-on-shin kick, so use the submarine kick to avoid the check while kicking your opponent;s back leg.
6. Fake and Sweep - If your opponent falls for the fake low kick technique, use it to your advantage by swinging behind them and dumping them on the canvas.

Good Idea's, although in my opinion the last method is a little bit too unrealistic to land? More likely if you have the upper hand anyway and your opponent is tired to the maximum.

Kwan Dao yea it's definitely a tough technique to land, but I've seen higher level Thai's pull it off in fights often. It's worth trying out!
