So, how is Duke's postseason output over the past 12 years? 2 National Titles, 1 other Final Four, and nothing else past the sweet 16? Pathetic for such a great program. UNC in that span has 2 National titles, 1 other Final Four, and 3 eilite 8 appearances. Duke folds every year.

More championships, final fours, elite 8 appearances and ACC season titles since Williams took over. All time win percentage Williams is higher than coach K. Thing you have to realize too, and it doesn't seem like a big deal but it is, coach K has been coaching Duke for what like 32 years. Williams has only been at UNC for only 9 (even though he coached Kansas long before that). The longer a coach is there, the better the relationships, coaching, and everything else comes together.

Yes, but let's not forget that UNC and Duke are both higher tier programs as compared to Kansas. Williams didn't come to win a title, he came because UNC is his alma mater. After that 05 year what did he do? Get another group of kids which he won another title with, and a group that never lost at Hansbrough Indoor...I mean Cameron Indoor Stadium.
@nicholaswmnelson12 жыл бұрын
Throw in UNC being 1-4 against ranked teams this year, their lone win coming against a team now outside the top 25. Duke, on the other hand is 3-2, with three of those wins coming against top-5 teams. Coach K also has more Olympic golds, and has coached more NBA talent. Also, lest we forgot, Coach K didn't stab Kansas in the back to travel to warmer climes. Really, pal, I can go all day. I just don't care enough to do so. Good luck in the NIT.

We were clearly the better team this game. They called more fouls on us, and Duke shot more free throws, but we shot 15% better, and got 20 more rebounds.
@theHeelz712 жыл бұрын
Their ranked perfectly fine (at 12.) And I'll tell you why. Cause they actually have a point guard, and James Michael McAdoo. Making Duke a preseason number 8 is disrespectful to Austin Rivers.

Coach K has about 15 more years under his belt than Roy, yet Roy has better overall stats in comparison to how long he has coached.
@jtgoheels12 жыл бұрын
True. But, how much longer has coach K been coaching. Ever since Williams took over at UNC, UNC has been ahead of Duke, and his win percentage is higher. Better than coach K? I personally say no, but he is climbing the ladder, and coach K cannot go any higher.

Yeah, unless you include guys like Harrellson, Liggins, Polson, and Darius Miller. Ask any of the incoming kids why they're coming in. They'll say because of how quickly Calipari develops players. Sure, Calipari is ruining college basketball while players like PJ Hairston are something to be proud of. Crazy how people were upset that UNC wasn't harder on him. After all, they should have been bellyaching more about how young UK's team is.
