Good for you Robyn! You can do it! Don’t focus on finishing the trail. Just focus on getting to the next campsite and before you know it, you’ll be at the Terminus. Keep on keeping on! 😃

You were just knocking out the miles! And are still keeping up that great outlook and sense of humor. YUM cold soaked ramen LOL And Happy Anniversary, 3 years late 😅

Love your videos. When you did the roadwalk around Mt. Baden Powell, was that Highway 2?
@TheHikingRev6 ай бұрын
Hey Robyn. Yes. They closed Hwy 2 because of landslides and road cleanup. A guy fell 1,000 feet on Baden Powell which persuaded me to take the alternative. 😳

Little known fact: the reason that Vasquez Rocks is used so often by Hollywood is because the union rules have a radius within which filming needs to be done, otherwise there is more cost. Vasquez Rocks happens, just barely, to be within that radius.

Wow… I didn’t know that.

I saw that you skipped an area. Was this bc of the Bobcat fire? Do you have any advice how to get around this fire?
@TheHikingRev3 жыл бұрын
Andy...I didn’t skip any sections. My phone broke so I was not able to record any footage from Sawmill Pass to Echo Lake. I’m going to redo that section this year so I can record footage of that area. I’m not familiar with the Bobcat fire so I’m afraid I can’t give you any advice on that. The only fires that I encountered were in Oregon.

My friends and I hiked the section in this video from the monument over to Vazquez Rocks in March of 2019. Here's a photo that I took along the trail. 47460246261_69f6bcc519_z.jpg Well, that didn't seem to work very well.

Bummer. You lost me with the frog diatribe. There's a cost to begin human on a living planet, on which we don't fully understand the interconnections between all living things. It seems in keeping with the New Testament to be good stewards of that world; part of that is to try to understand, and part is to respect all life. As a PCT hiker with plans for 2023, I'll be happy to detour for the food web. Adios.

Jeff, “why so serious?” My diatribe was purely in jest. Certainly not intended to be offensive. Most people found it to be somewhat humorous. BTW…good luck on your 2023 PCT hike.
