Story #3, the one about the 'Bubbajax' is SUPER creepy! For some reason, the mental image of something like that wearing clothing makes it even scarier than if it was just naked. Great episode, like usual. I LOVE the real life cryptid and monster stories the best, by far. 👍

It's kinda funny how almost every one of the stories are structured the same way and use the same adages all the time. Anyone who has studied english literature and writing techniques, would realize that these stories are mostly all written by the same 4 or 5 people. People that tell stories, tend to have a certain signature in the way they describe certain things. Simple things like the constant use of adages like; "I noped the fuck out of there" and certain things like that, totally give them away. If these were true stories told by random people, they would be structured completely different from one another. How often do you listen to a friend tell a story and it's usually, totally disjointed. Most people jump from one part, to another, because that's how the human mind tends to remember traumatic events. That's how regular people tell true stories. These are all written by the same few people and I can't believe how many people actually believe these are "true stories." I used to love these and now I just get bummed out because I'm a writer and I can tell these are made up stories by the signatures in their structure. It's like leaving a fucking fingerprint behind. I wonder if the people who narrarate these stories know that they are not real, but play ignorant and put "true story" in the title, so people will watch them and they can get money. I should do this shit. Fuck integrity anymore.. It gets you nowhere. Stupid people are too easy to manipulate and pointing out the obvious, usually just upsets them and destroys the fantasy they willingly partake in. Point out the obvious to a moron and they will "Nope the fuck out". Lol

My friend and I once had to spend an unplanned night in the woods, and is among the scariest experiences of my life. This took place in a very large state forest in southern Indiana. We weren't necessarily lost, but had just walked in too deep, with too much of a late start. We both agreed it would be way too dangerous to try to hike out in the dark because we were in very steep terrain, and a good portion of our route had been off-trail. Because we were only prepared for a day-hike that day, it goes without saying that we endured a pretty uncomfortable night. It was March, and it got down to the lower 40°s that night. However, we were able to build and maintain a decent fire, and make do with what clothing we had. The scary part was when the coyotes started to howl! I guess it's because suburban coyotes tend to be more solitary, that you don't really hear them howl(at least not in my experience). But, coyotes that live in very remote places tend to form packs, and this is what we heard that night. Anyone who's ever heard coyotes in numbers, and out in the middle of nowhere like this, knows exactly what I'm talking about! What's particularly eerie about this night was the timing. It was just later that same year(2009) that the horrific incident involving Taylor Mitchell occurred, in which she was mauled to death and partially consumed by small pack of coyotes. In retrospect, that howling would've been a whole lot scarier had that incident with poor Taylor Mitchell taken place beforehand! For those playing the home game, she was the first ever documented case of a fatal coyote attack on an adult human. In fact, in some areas here east of the Mississippi, coyotes have interbred with wolves as a survival mechanism. It is the consensus of the group of scientists and coyote specialists who worked on the Taylor Mitchell case, that what attacked her were indeed these coyote-wolf hybrids, or "coywolves" as they are officially referred to.

My sister and I were walking thru a cow field next to our neighborhood. For some reason, we wandered off of the dirt road and started walking thru the grass. Before we knew it, we lost our sense of direction as the grass kept getting taller and taller. Not sure how we found our way back, but it's scary how easy it can be to get lost, especially being so close to home, even during the middle of the day.

I just can't even with some of the decisions in these stories. It's like those horror movie characters who want to split up or go TOWARDS the creepy noise. I mean I get that terror can make you just react without thinking, but dang... Also missing details; that guy running from the tall thing said his friend also booked it, never mentioned if he was okay. Exasperation aside, some pretty cool/spooky stories!
