@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN yea when people want to come stay or live in denver I always recommend for them to stay on the western side of the city. There isn't much in terms of entertainment unless you have money to spend. And even then water world and elitch's are a chore to get to and be at. Once you've done all the hikes and nature trails there really isn't much to do. I know I'll never be able to ski or snowboard because of the insane tourism traffic in the mountains. And I know once I'm out of my parents house in a year or two (I'm 17) I'll have to leave state to afford anything. Even 1 bedroom apts in most cities here are 1100+. People from other states have truly ruined it. Even small mountain towns are expensive because of the tourism novelty. Southwestern Colorado is a pretty cool place to visit. I felt Ayn Rand was thinking of Silverton, elevation 9,000+ feet and still in a valley surrounded by mountains, when she wrote about in Atlas Shrugged where he'd moved to (others say nearby Ouray which is also pretty cool). The drive (or the historic train ride, I imagine) from Durango to Silverton is unforgettable. Mesa Verde National Park is also fantastic.

Ok, so your commentary on Pueblo is almost accurate. I have lived here (or surrounding areas) all my life. We are not that bad. Only the bad people. But that’s everywhere you go. Pueblo has an amazing history, and we’re working on our future, for the better. I love you Colorado, the best in the nation! I forgot to mention, your song at the end completely describes my hubby to the T!!

I'm a Colorado native and grew up in Denver. I hate it, I hate it so much. Over my lifetime I've seen this city and state ruined by transplants and our local and state governments completely infiltrated by california and east coast style "progressive" politicians and policies that have created a haven for homeless people and drug sales/use. Denver itself is completely overrun by people, if you like traffic forget LA Denver is for you. Rent has become so high that most natives have either had to adapt or have been priced out of their homes. If you like Hiking or Sking or anything else involving the mountains, forget it because about a million other people have the exact same idea and because of that you have to wait in line and share the outdoors with everyone else making it exactly the opposite of what you want. Before you say, "if you hate it, then why dont you move?" Think about it, where else would I move Kansas? Fuck that. So if you are thinking of moving to Colorado especially Denver, please dont you will only end up HATING it like the rest of us.

This is a pretty good video. I moved here for college in 1998 and have never wanted to leave. Even after blowing out my knees so no more skiing. It is a wonderful mix of options. If you like camping or hunting and fishing, lots of options and close states with even more options. If you enjoy quiet mountain town life, it is great for that and many of the towns are not ritzy or expensive as like a Vail or Aspen or Breckenridge. If you are conservative and want a city, you can live in Springs or Pueblo and have some good schools and the Air Force College. If you are liberal then Denver/Boulder will be the place for you, but have some serious cash to spend, at least compared to the rest of Colorado (save the ritzy mountain towns.) Fort Collins gives you a nice mix and everyone can enjoy that city's downtown for sure. Great breweries, lots of sports/activities, absolutely gorgeous views and nice low humidity. Summers used to be great but are getting MUCH hotter quickly. The only downside is the airport is basically located in Kansas.
@forsakenovercast00673 жыл бұрын
I've lived in CO for a little while and the only thing I think you got wrong is that Breckenridge is kind of a small ski town, it's becoming insanely popular and is on the more expensive side of ski resorts in that area. I loved the whole video though!!

I love my state Colorado, and everyone does not drive a Subaru, or get high. As I’m growing up in this state it suck because every where you go there are stupid out of state people ( California, Texas, Wyoming, Utah, etc) and that makes my family and I mad because we can’t even in joy are cabin up in the mountains, or go camping, or go fish on a river. I also love are sports, Broncos, Rockies, Avalanche, Nuggets, the Rapids, and so on and the rodeos only come around once a year so it is a big thing. I love my state and I’m Proud To Be A COLORADO NATIVE

I live in Colorado Springs. Most the video sounds about right. I do ski, own a Subaru, and eat granola for breakfast. Sports Authority went out of business several years ago, we have Dicks and REI, Bass Pro, and they are building a new Scheels store in the Springs, opening this summer I think. Lake Pueblo is awesome, I do kayaking in offseason when I'm not skiing.

My family has been in Colorado for about 100 years but so what (nobody cares) ! I live in a small mountain town about 3 hours from Denver and I love it here. There’s so much to do outdoors like ... well you know the drill. The pluses are sunshine, low property taxes, great economy, green chili and we even have a drive in theater and it’s open! Negatives are cost of living, ski traffic, windy, extreme UV rays and not enough rain. I try to avoid Denver except for the airport and Colorado Springs is much less crowded when I need city services. Say hey to Mappy, maybe we could hangout one day?

So I was planning on moving soon. Denver is very high up on the list on cities I would love to move to. I keep weather as a consideration. So how is the weather in Denver? Specifically the winter. Does it every get below 0 degrees? How much snow? Average snow days for schools per year? ect. Thank you!
Yes, it certainly does get below zero during the day but generally only for a few days each winter. It does get below zero at night for many more days. If you park outside your car will feel like sitting in a block of ice until it heats up. Even so, it doesn't feel nearly as cold as you might think because the air is so dry. It could be twenty degrees out but if it's sunny it will seem downright toasty. The sun reflecting on fresh snow is blindingly bright and impressively beautiful.
