The scream the most confusing/intimidating sound possible to startle and confuse and then sprint tactic, is totally something I'd do. I actually did do something similar as a kid. I got yelled at by my dad, but hey, it did work. The rotten smelling mystery creature rustling outside my window each night didn't come back. I learned from nature documentaries early.
