Okay gents, I currently have a massive crush on a guy from my church. Here's what I've been doing to get his attention or to show my attraction. 1.) Going around him. Sitting near him during Sunday morning service. Sitting next to him at small group Bible study... whatever I can do to just be near him. I enjoy being around him. He gives me butterflies but also makes me feel safe. I know if I needed something he would be there for me. 2.) Smiling. This is what I did when I first realized I was attracted to him. I started smiling at him more, and when I mean smiling, I really mean smiling. I can't keep my face from lighting up when I see him. I smile really big and let the corners of my eyes crinkle. I probably blush too. 3.) Eye contact. Goes along with smiling but it's worth noting in it's own point because the more I've gotten to know him and my initial attraction has grown to a full blown crush, the more I've tried to make and hold eye contact, which, of course, then I eye flirt by looking down and then back up, and probably blush more. 4.) Peacocking, gussying up, preaning, whatever you want to call it. I've been putting A LOT of effort into my wardrobe, hair and makeup since I realized I was attracted to him. I mean ALOT. I barely wore makeup before, though I enjoy doing it, and never did my nails. Now I redo them every two days and try to look gorgeous if I know he's going to be at an event... or even if he MIGHT be at an event. I've been curling my hair, wearing heals, and carefully matching my accessories. All of these things help me feel more confident and put together, which gives me the courage to flirt with him. 5.) Nervous body language. This happens mostly during Bible study when he's nearby, but I find myself nervously fidgeting, playing with my pen, my bracelet, my hair, etc. Bouncing my leg, shifting my position, mirroring his movements and position. 6.) Texting. So I try not to text him too much, but I do text him a funny meme now and then, or ask him a question. When I really want to text him but feel I've already texted him too much for that day or even two days, I'll group text our whole small group. 7.) Disclosure. When we do talk, besides the usual getting to know you chit chat, I tell him things I'm mildly embarrassed about, like how I'm afraid of heights, and love Sci-Fi. 8.) Emojis. I try not to use them too much during texting, but I use the little blushing and smiling ones the most to give some kind of indication what my facial expression would be like if we were together in person. 9.) Complimenting him. I find any excuse to compliment the character traits I admire in him, and express gratitude for any type of service he does for me or one of our friends. 10.) I have not broken the touch barrier with him, yet, but I feel that's the next step and will do so by resting my hand on his forearm for a couple of secnds. I have unconsciously bumped my foot with his before and touched his fingers when passing an item to him. That wasn't done conciously, though, so I'm not sure it counts. The nervous body language is half subconscious and I counted it so... I guess you guys decide!

I don't get along with many women because I'm a tom-boy, not girly, hate drama and like to do stuff the guys do. Thanks to growing up with older brothers I'm one of the guys. I'm straight BTW and am fairly attractive. I've done some modeling. I've been this way for nearly a half century now and my straight, manly, guy friends love that I am this way! I can be wing man, give them an alternative viewpoint or set them up. I can also help them chop wood and work on the truck. My bast friend of many years is a guy! When I have a crush on a guy I make extra food for him and drop it off to his house. I give him compliments, I smile a lot and I get really excited and interested in the things he is doing in his life. I also offer my help but I notice that they like to offer help too so I let them have that one because it feels good to have him WANT to do things for me. I actually kissed my crush today for the first time. We have been hanging out and texting a lot. He says stuff like "We need more hugs" and "I love our hugs" So when we spent some time together today and we were hugging goodbye we locked eyes and I went in for one. His kids were in the house so we left it at that. and he whispered "we need more of those" :)

I will avoid him sometimes at first because i don't want him to know how infatuated i am. I realize how counterproductive it is to be so self conscious. It likely gives him the idea i am NOT interested. I am not sure how to overcome this nervous shyness

May I suggest practicing on guys you don't have crushes on? Could be a guy at a cafe or store or gym.... doesn't matter. Start with being able to converse freely...ask a question. Give a compliment. Smile and look them in the eyes. Start with these things until you get more comfortable. If you know any of your crush's interests, hobbies or their work or car they drive, you can use that as a convo starter. Good luck!

I guess it depends on initial interactions. To some of my crushes, I have been really nice, helpful, shy and sweet. Others I have been sarcastic, somewhat mean teasing...the final results are the same. When I have a crush: I try to make conversation and use humor to break my tension and feel comfortable. If I get nervous I due to physical space I clam up and stop talking, naturally I talk a heavy amount. I tend to want to talk about ideas to see if we have a mental connection.
