5:27, what is that tool? Is it suitable to remove the fat ps3 IHS?

It's a metal spudger. It was originally used in dentistry to mix up filling material, but is now a disassembly tool. Not sure if it's suitable for IHS removal, never done that before. There are different thicknesses though, I recently bought a new one off ebay, and it isn't as thin as my old one.

@@RestoreTechnique I got you. I will try and find the thinnest one and see if I can remove and repaste the ps3 because after replacing thermal paste on the IHS, its still pretty loud. I found out that the fat PS3 paste on the cpu inside the ihs gets really dry. You should do a backwards compatible ps3 fix video!

He literally takes every reusable part from the old phone and uses a new frame, new display, keeps the Water Sealing intact, so much time spent on recording every step ... That was my original plan, but I thought it might cheapen the restoration work, if the total was higher than what most people would pay to fix an aging device. Will consider for future videos though.
