@@dreamlifephotography haha makes sense! I have a question brother, if you have the time to answer. As someone who has never surfaced or had to tread water for long, what kind of preparation do you think I need before going out and practicing in water surf photography? Should I at least learn to surf, or practice treading water in a pool or the ocean for a month or something? I really want to get into it but I want to be properly prepared. I have all the gear though!

@@connorhenderson_photo Great question, you just have to start where you are at.... start shooting in flat water, then little waves and progress as your comfort levels expand... there is no substitute for spending the time! My best advice would be to start body surfing with a pair of body board fins. This will get you surf fit and you will learn so much about how the ocean works, don't take the camera out, just go body surfing at every chance you get... but yeah some pool training with treading water is a good idea as well.... we cover a lot of this inside my "Water Photographer" course and in the private group attached to it... so if you are keen, let me know and I can send you the links.... if you have the gear it is only useful if you have the knowledge and confidence, I would love to help with all that for you!
