Your 100 percent right on the transportation in America. Outside of NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, , if you don't have a car your screwed. Most jobs even ask "do you have a car?" . I dated a girl in University from Europe, she would complain, why do i need to get into a car or call a taxi to do everything! lol

I've been living in Europe for... about 7 years now and sometimes someone will ask me "So, are you ever going to move back?" Inwardly I'm like "BITCH NO WAY IN HELL" but of course I try and respond respectfully :D I get healthcare here. I don't have to personally do my taxes except for the 15 minutes it takes to do a tax return and who DOESN'T want money back. If I ever have a kid I know both my partner and I will get a substantial amount of parental leave. In Germany everyone gets a minimum of 24 vacation days but it can easily go upwards (the average amount for a civil servant is in the mid to low 30's). When I lived in Finland you had to take an obligatory two week vacation for YOUR betterment so you weren't drained or completely crushed by work. It's also nice to not be afraid of people carrying guns everywhere. And yes, you'll experience racism no matter where you go but my absolute worst experiences were all in the States. In Helsinki I can only think of two experiences and one was - no joke- an American dude being crazy racist and not even knowing it. That being said... I really. Really. Really miss American Chinese food. If I ever go back I'm getting an order of pork fried rice, chicken lo mein, sesame chicken, lobster sauce and a pile of eggrolls bigger than my face. Maybe also some breaded fish with collard greens and mac & cheese. Also some good ol' NYC pizza. And a really gross philly cheesesteak with that gooey artificial cheese. Also, I've never tried gumbo and I feel like I'm missing out on life. OH MY GOD AND DINER FOOD. Sigh...

+Jee Hei uhhhhhh are you sure you're not a black woman in disguise? Lol. So glad you commented because many don't realize people of different nationalities have the same issues we do as African Americans. Many also don't realize how delicious our extremely fatty food is. Lol. Thanks for the comment. Wonderful insight.
@heijeehei8 жыл бұрын
Yeah you'd be amazed by how many people I've met that assume Asians don't experience racism. And I often deal with people who have the logic of "Well what happened to you wasn't racist because you as an Asian don't deal with racism." It is the most bizarre logic. But back to food! My best friend is Black which may account for some of the food cravings :D When she came to visit me in Baltimore she'd bring me a styrofoam takeout box full of food from Philly. For a short period of time there was an "American" restaurant here in Berlin that had Philly Cheesesteak on their menu except it was actually steak with really nice baguette bread and I was just thinking "This is all well and good but where's the garbage I was expecting?"

The thing about poverty is so on point. I went to Indonesia and ate like a king for 10USD. My waitress told me see made 80USD/month. It made me really look at myself because I complained about my pay but she would have to work 6 years to make what I make monthly. Big eye opener. Also the flights are ridiculous also!! I used to pay 500 for flights he from GA. I have spent less than that traveling to multiple countries.

I seriously think the best thing the U.S. government could ever do is send people on a trip overseas for like one month. People would QUICKLY realize that they don't have it so bad. Granted, I fully understand that economics back home is jacked up. Especially with inflation. But it doesn't even compare to what people have to deal with in about 80% of the countries on this planet. I've begun retiring the complaint center of my brain. lol

1) Totally agree. Grew up in Omaha, it's smaller but has the worst black murder RATE and top murder RATE in the country! My neighboring high school had a bad shooting, our big mall had A HUGE shooting, and there was a shooting while I worked at the other mall... literally while I was working. 2) Yes, negativity is pretty bad here. a lot of victim mentality. Also, everyone complains about the weather. 3) I agree!!! Flights from Berlin to London are SO CHEAP, not to mention the incredible infrastructure!!! It's so easy to get around Europe. You need a car in America, which is depressing always driving for long periods. 4) Yes food quality is so bad. Sad part is is that most people don't even know it's bad!!! They eat MCDONALD'S then wonder why they're tired 24/7, then fill themselves with drugs the doctors say will help fatigue. 5) politics- it's bad. yes. People are obsessed with Republicans vs Democratic. it's more like a popularity contest. people vote for Trump or Hillary based on appearance, not actual positions and opinions. Everything is dumbed down for the masses, using fear (back to the victim mentality). The American people must take responsibility for their own health and life, and make the choice to think. people need to stop fighting and start working together- Republicans and Democrats need to find out together what actually works! 6) I hated working at restaurants. my last real job is a bank job and it was so nice to get paid more to do way less. All around great video, you do solid stuff and seem like you have your head on straight. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to join the digital nomads!

yes and no. Basically, Europe prioritizes people over companies. In the U.S., it's reversed. So the oil and airline industries have consistently blocked any forms of affordable travel by bribing politicians. The U.S. should have had a massive national rail service decades ago but it's been blocked at every turn. European nations developed affordable travel options independently then linked these systems together. Which has done wonders for international trade and travel in Europe.
@adriangeicu8 жыл бұрын
Again, I like your video. I'm not competent in talking about all the subjects you touched, but at least on 2 of them, I can say you are right. One would be about hate&venom, it's incredible to me how much of negativity is found there, to be honest, I didn't belived i was a rule, since I'm not dumb enough to make opinions based on few videos I've seen on youtube, were people are beeing flamed/humiliated over such stupid pointless things, there is no shame ore empathy is like the nature of human morality is reversed, and trashing people is the right thing to do. I onced have commented on some video, saying I don't think it's fun to make fun of people... you don't want to know the replies, but you might figgure them out. I get it, internet is full of hate, and trolls, and flamers, but I'm affraid that the behavior will transition into the real world, if it haven't done so allready. Even if, the amreican culture, propagated by the internet, has found it's way into almos every place on this earth, at least here, in Romania, behaviour is still under controll, people do have the decency to not hate eachother. There is still hate, towards the institutions, politicians, but that;s somehing normal, when we don't have the best lives we want for ourself, and lot of young people have o work abroad for a better life. Wich leads me to my 2nd point, about poverty, you mention someone with iphone thinking he's poor, maybe by his delusional standards he is, but I doubt he really understands what poverty really is. From my window, I've seen las year, a little girl, carring a huge bag of empty plastic cans, it was such a emotional sight to see, the girl must have been 6-7 a most, and the bag was triple her size, must have been not that heavy since it was plastic bottles, but still... that's poverty, a 7 year girl to carry a bag triple her size to get some money that will only last her a day. People eating from garbage, and we don't really have - garbage for plastic/meal, etc - I mean there are, but not tha many, the smell alone would make you puke, don't even want to know about eating that. You have a very popular show there, called Survivor, that I watch from time to time, and I find it funny why the show is called "survivior", what exactly do you have to survive from? they have a chiken most of the time, they have coconuts, they can fish, they have supplies of rice/beans, the weather is fine, not like it's -25 celsius outside, sometimes it rains, big deal, any romanian could "survive" those conditions for a long period of time, acually for some, maybe me also, would be quite a paradise, alone on a insland, with warmish weather, coconuts, that's no surviving, that's enjoying. Anyway, If you do visit again Romania, and it's summer, you should come to my city near the Black Sea, called Constanta, we have amazing beaches, and awsome girls ;) . All the best!
@Minoritynomad8 жыл бұрын
Adrian Geicu It's frustrating because negativity in the U.S. gets all of the attention. And people think thats all we have. And it's kind of true but we have some amazingly kind and compassionate people also. The coast is the only part of Romania I havent seen. Definitely want to go next season.

We have more gun violence than other countries because of the drug war, but it's interesting to note that as gun ownership has gone up gun violence has gone DOWN in the states. If you want to end gun violence, just end the drug war. Just look at all the violence drug wars bring. The border of Mexico, Colombia, now the Philippines, prohibition of alcohol in the states in the 20's...history shows no drug war has ever worked and all of them increase violence massively.

Can't say that I think experience is the primary factor in an election...Of course it's important, but a candidate's ideas and values should be considered first...Here in Japan people keep electing the same old "experienced" politicians with no new ideas and of course nothing ever changes...As for tipping, if you support changing the system and paying fair wages to wait staff so they don't need tips I whole-heartedly agree with you. It's been proven that there exists a deep divide when it comes to not only affordability of "healthy" food, but access as well in the inner cities. Michelle Obama spent 8 years fighting it. Here's a study I read awhile back. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3482049/ Not sure where you're from but processed foods and meat are FAR from expensive in the inner city. Especially at fast food restaurants. Wal-Mart makes a mint selling this stuff to African Americans and Latinos.

Great video. A 3rd world country like Thailand has a way better domestic public transportation system than the US. For the most part, you don't have to have a car if you live in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and most of the country. Not so in the US. So true about living a much healthier lifestyle in Thailand too. I juice watermelon and other fruits and veggies daily and it's so much fresher and cheaper than in the USA. So true about the rest of your video too. Politicians care more about their political party than the country. That's backwards. But I will differ on the political issue. Obama didn't have money, he was backed by money. Trump can buy and sell Hiillary ten times over, she is way more enslaved to the big corps. who fund her, than Trump. Trump has his own money way before he got into politics. I'm NOT NOT NOT a Trump supporter at all (I'm not in a political party), I just don't want Hillary to get selected because she will start WW3 so she can pay back her supporters through war related contracts Anyway, like your videos! I agree with most of what you said, but I don't think you're informed about veganism, because elsewise you wouldn't make the comment you made. I believe that the problem it deals with is important for long-term health, animals and the environment too. I'm not judging you by any means for making saying what you said, I just think that you're ignorant on this topic.

Because I disagree entirely with a chosen lifestyle doesnt mean I'm ignorant about it. Appreciate your opinion and commenting.

@teaearlgrey90528 жыл бұрын
I thought it was a good video. You definitely had been thinking about these things for some time and it shows when you let them out. I bet you slept good that night, lol. The only thing I'd disagree is the Obama thing. Obama was elected because I think the American people (Black/White, etc) had finally had enough of White Male rule and seeing that things weren't really improving. There was no way McCain/Palin would have been a better choice than Obama so you're far off-base there. Romney had character but he was more 'monied-up' than anyone and made Obama look like a pauper. So I don't know why you think Romney wouldn't have given Wall Street an even bigger pass than Obama did given Romney's history. But very nice watch.

I voted for Obama, but he was a big disappointment. He let Republicans walk all over him and stole a SCOTUS appointment from him. He is a very smart guy, and he meant well, but he wanted to speak eloquently to people that wanted to swift boat him at every turn. Democrats need a bare knuckle brawler not a professor of anything.

You know, I was subscribed to you, until now I see how fervently your dislike is for veganism and vegans. Do you really not think many of us vegans care about more issues than just being vegan? I'm vegan and I go to protests and bring awareness to those issues, police brutality issues, big oil, LGB rights, AND transgender rights, among others. I held the Transgender Day of Remembrance memorial at my college two years ago. My question is, why so much hate for vegans? Many of us aren't even exclusively doing it for health reasons or for the animals (which are also valid and important), but are actually doing it for the environment. Going vegan is the BIGGEST thing you can do to reduce your carbon footprint. Animal agriculture is 52% of the problem contributing to climate change. The UN even said a few years ago there NEEDS to be a global shift to veganism to have any hope of saving our planet. Look it up.... I changed my diet 6 months ago and stopped eating many of the foods that I loved for the greater good of everyone, and our planet. And if you still have hate for veganism, then you should really look within and see where that's coming from. It takes a strong heart and mind to let go of our food addictions and do what's right.
@sydneymichelle83578 жыл бұрын
Also PS you are definitely limiting yourself to a wider audience since many people that are digital nomads or expats in Thailand, etc are vegan.
@Minoritynomad8 жыл бұрын
I don't have a dislike for veganism at all. I have a dislike for self-righteous Vegans that love telling people how much better they morally are than the rest of us because their Vegan. When did I ever say Vegans can't care about other issues? If anything I feel Vegans go out of their way to be SJWs. Taking up cause upon cause. Your comment is precisely what agitates me and many others about Vegans. It's self-congratulatory comments like this " It takes a strong heart and mind to let go of our food addictions and do what's right." that make some of you insufferable and you seriously don't see how it comes across. ' I don't dislike Veganism or Vegans. Do whatever you want. My sister is Vegan. I love hanging with her because I get to eat all the meat they accidently serve her sometimes. But the difference between her and many of you is she doesn't go out of her way to make others feel like bad people because they eat meat. She doesn't point her nose in the air as some beacon of hope for the human race. She doesn't constantly berate people that disagree with her over and over and over. She educates when asked. She explains when asked. She leads by example. So if you want to know what my issue is with Vegans it's this, I believe extreme Vegans are self-righteous assholes. And are just as narrow-minded and selfish as those they stand against. Not all Vegans, the vocal few.
@Minoritynomad8 жыл бұрын
Also PS, my channel isn't for Thailand based digital nomad vegans. It's actually not for digital nomads either. I've only made two videos about being a digital nomad. And vegan digital nomads aren't even close to the majority in Chiang Mai. KZbin might have people believe that but it's just not true at all. If people don't like what I have to say I fully encourage them to find other forms of entertainment or education that suits their sensibilities. I don't try to cater to anyone. I'm just me. People either like it or not. Appreciate the advice on how to run my channel.

kidfall1 well the world should be a Utopia. It's not a bad thing to strive for acceptance, equality, and the end to senseless violence. The problem comes when people live life as if the world is some Utopia. That's delusional and dangerous.

Its a shame how misled so many of you( Minoirities) are that Whitey is against you.. Our Company( Limo) tried hring some Black Guys to become chauffeurs, paying them like veryone else got, $12 hr..but while you pay for your own Gas, you get to Keep the Tips and you can work 12 hr days x 6 days wk..( more during Winter Season) Now of course making $144 day and your Self Employed, means we teach you how to pay very little income taxes, legally.. Thus your making $45k yr and have to make $60k yr on a Salary job..Of course, The Blacks think its Demeaning to serve rich white folks.. Right? Little do they know , everyone serves rich white folk at one level or another.. Damn Fools, go ahead remain Poor and Complain. and blame everyone else..You allow Politics to Run your Life.. Guns? It's fine to have a political leaning but lets not pretend Democrats aren't just as shady. Their just a lot better at hiding their shit behind a thin veil of emotion.
