When I first was saved, I started reading the Bible. I was very curious on the how and why of things, so I read it again... twice. Then I read two other Bible versions twice (just so I would not miss things). The things I discovered just from the Word were amazing in that they showed God had a plan in everything, even the obscure details! Your meaning of the swaddling cloths to the shepherds was something I would not have known if you didn't show me. Again, another example of God revealing His plans in small details we would have overlooked!! Thank you for your ministry!!

here's something that will help you, read the bible then analyze it with modern research, and study ancient history you'll learn the bible is a collection of stories stolen from mostly ancient Sumeria. even the Jewish god is an old Sumerian god. the tale of Noah and the flood is an old Sumerian tale from around 4000 years before Noahs story.... people who read the bible and believe it;'s true really have not clue about history and reality

@@boem3021 That's not true. Redemption happens every single time a soul is saved from this world, whether 2 minutes after Jesus ascended, of 20 zillion years later - not that His coming will take that long. Salvation is by grace through faith in Him. Following Him is a sign of salvation, not the means to it! If we save ourselves, we are saving ourselves for hell, that's all what humans are capable of.

I highly suggest reading Tower of the Flock which tells more about where Jesus was born and why the shepherds knew where it was. Something interesting that I noticed just recently is that the cherubim were the warrior “angelic beings” and a “host” is a group of warriors so it is very possible that when the heavenly host appeared with the angel it was a large group of cherubim which I imagine would have been terrifying.

The magi came when Christ was about 2 years old! When God told Joseph in a dream to take the child (not baby) into Egypt! The only reason that I have heard to suggest that the Magi arrived when He was 2yrs old was that Herod killed all those under 2. Logically though herod would have wanted to kill a wider age range of children to make sure he killed the newborn. The Magi (mentioned in heroditus’ histories as coming from Babylon, aka ‘the east’ who where arguably the descendants of the same ‘wise men/ magicians’ that Daniel ended up leading) would have been able to make that journey along the trade routes in 4-6 weeks easily and the signs could well have appeared before the birth, so I see no reason to expect the wise men to arrive two years later.

Herod died in April of 4 BC. Jesus would have been about 1.5 yrs old. He was born in late September/early October of 6 BC. Not in winter time. The shepherds would not have been out in the fields in wintertime. Jesus was crucified in mid April of 28 or 29. We are about 7 years away from the 2000th anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion/resurrection/rise into Heaven.

Though the bible does not state his day of birth stating the lambs could not be in the fields is not correct. Israel is not cold in winter, like it is in northern countries. December is the rainy season I was warned to watch out in December as rains could flood dry beds but is was warm and I went swimming in the sea also. The lambs would be born in December to January because then is the time of the rains and the hills turn green with new grasses giving feed to the ewes and the lambs

Herod was ill and his sons took over his reign in 4 BC, but he didn't DIE until about 1 AD. There would have been a census to delineate the areas of rule for the sons. Luke 1 - The angel came to Mary 'in the sixth (Hebrew) month' means YHUShA was born 9 months later in the 3rd month which is the time of the Feast of Weeks/Pentecost. This is why there was no rooms available. If it was Sukkot they would have been required to stay in a sukkah in Jerusalem not Bethlehem. The giving of the Word at Sinai The giving of the Son - birth The giving of the Spirit - Pentecost all fall on the same day in YHUHs cycle. He would have been born around 2 BC.

And, He would have been crucified in 31 AD, which is the only year the days fall correctly by an accurate reckoning of the calendar of YHUH.

I like how you spark one to see things in biblical accounts in a new refreshing way that one doesn't often see or understand. The message I feel about the Shepherds receiving the message about the birth of Jesus and them going and finding things just as it was told them it would be. Is one the Shepherds show us God loves and accepts all of us no matter who we are and that we can come to God to Jesus just as we are. We don't have to be perfect, sinless, holy. We can be accepted by God just as we are because God already knows who we fully are, the person we actually are not who others feel we are. The second thing about the Shepherds being told about the birth of Jesus, their finding things as they were told. Is the gospel message is meant for everyone to hear and believe. Also the Shepherds show us that the gospel teaches can be believed, that it is real and life changing and that we will find things real just as the Bible teaches us, that it's not make belief.

I know all have sinned and come short of the glory. How can a person be a child of God and not grow? In some ways I have but I still feel like a baby christian. I hear Him saying get away I know you not. I fail at witnessing and know of nothing the Lord could use me for. The lepers and Christ resonated with me. Thank you so much. Even if I get left behind, I am so grateful He loved me and would never deny Him. Your explanations and books of the bible explain things so much more clearly. It is not popular or commercialized because it is not in a city where tourists like to go it was outside of Bethlehem. It made more sense to me than any story I ever heard about the birth of Jesus.

Calendar does not jive with BC/AD. Governor in another district - BC. Some things get lost in translation unless you are a language expert. The father of John the Baptist - Zacharias - served in the temple twice a year. Messianic studies of the records of his service to determine John's birth. Also, the Shepherds in Bethelhem supplied unblemished lambs for the Temple. The lambs could not touch the ground & were wrapped in swaddling cloth. Johannes Kempler did some mathematical tabulations on the Consortium known as the " Star of Bethlehem ". Went back into time & tabulated a BC date of the formation of the two planets forming a " Star ". Bethlehem is freezing in late December. Shepherds are usually in the mountains from late Spring/Summer until the Fall Harvest. Don't shepherd the sheep in the snow or on frozen ground. They guess when Zacharias returned home, impregnated Elizebeth - visit from Mary - Birth of Jesus. Either pick around Passover or Rosh Hashana/First Fruits. Anyways, Mary may have been pregnant in late December ( 3 months ) when she visited Elizabeth ( 6 months ) . So, John was born around April/Passover & Jesus around September/Rosh Hashana. Definitely not Dec 25th. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this fresh prospective on the ancient nativity story. The dates aren't that important. What's vital is that God loved us SO MUCH He was willing to shed His awesome glory, power and heavenly honor to live as a destitute human in mortal flesh. Then, He suffered ridicule and was ostracized from His own human relatives and community who called Him a bastard, blasphemer and even a lunatic. As if that wasn't bad enough, a horrible conspiracy and betrayal resulted in His suffering unspeakable agony and death by crucifiction although He was guilty of nothing. He did this WILLINGLY, simply out of His love for us. We owe Him EVERYTHING but He gave it ALL to us for FREE!! We need only accept the gift and in gratitude worship and follow Him. Don't delay! Judgement is coming VERY SOON.

A simple way of identifying the time of Jesus birth (besides using Quirinius as a governor of Syria) is by carefully noting that "in the 15th year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea" (governor from 26 C.E. to 36 C.E.), that "God's declaration came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness".(Luke 3:1, 2; Note: John was about six months older than Jesus, see Luke 1:26-33, 41-43) The 15th year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar went from about the autumn of 28 C.E. till the autumn of 29 C.E. (for Augustus Caesar had died on August 17, 14 C.E. according to the Gregorian calendar and Tiberius accepted the Roman emperorship from the Roman Senate on September 15, 14 C.E.), at which time John "went into the country around the Jordan, preaching baptism in symbol of repentance for forgiveness of sins (against the Mosaic Law covenant)".(Luke 3:3) John fulfilled Isaiah 40:3, as stated at Luke 3:4-6: "just as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “A voice of one crying out in the wilderness: ‘ Prepare the way of Jehovah ! (God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV) Make his roads straight. Every valley must be filled up, and every mountain and hill leveled; the crooked ways must become straight, and the rough ways smooth; and all flesh will see the salvation of God." So, in late spring through the warms weeks of autumn in 29 C.E., John was baptizing Jews in the Jordan river who felt a need to repent for sins against the Mosaic Law, at which time Jesus came from Galilee (Nazareth) to him to be baptized by him.(Matt 3:13-17) Then Luke 3:23 says that at this time, Jesus "was about 30 years old". If a person goes back 30 years from 29 C.E., they come to the date of 2 B.C.E., for there was no zero year, so that from 29 C.E. to 1 C.E. was 28 years, and then go back two more years and you arrive at 2 B.C.E.(or 1 C.E. to 1 B.C.E. was one year, with NO zero year, and then back one more year and 2 B.C.E comes up) Oh another thing, is that there were NO "wise men" that came to Jesus, but magi, most likely Babylonian astrologers who were, pagans. And the "star" they followed to Jerusalem was NOT from Jehovah God, but from his archenemy Satan the Devil, for it directed the unnumbered magi (three gifts but no mention of how many magi visited Jesus), NOT to Jesus in Bethlehem, but to the Edomite ruler, Herod the Great, who wanted no one to be another "king", so that when the magi did not return and give him Jesus "address", he went into a great rage......and had all the boys in Bethlehem killed, from two years of age and under."(Matt 2:16) And one more thing, is that when the magi (Greek magos, meaning "an Oriental magician") came to Jesus, he was NOT an infant in a manger, but in a house when about 2 years old.(Matt 2:7-12) So, the "story of Christmas" is based, not on the facts, but a mixture of twisted scripture and pagan festivities, such as Saturnalia that went from December 17-24 and was capped off with "the birthday of the invincible sun" called Mithra, the Persian god of light on December 25. Jesus told his eleven faithful apostles to observe, NOT his birth, but his death.(Luke 22:19, 20) This is in harmony with Ecclesiastes 7:1 that says: "A good name is better than good oil, and the day of death is than the day of birth". At birth, a person has not shown what type of person they will be, like a blank sheet of paper, but at death, their record of who they were, is well established, so that those who made a "good name" with Jehovah God, are assured of a resurrection from the dead.

Amen, sister! What a blessing it has been to observe God's weekly vacation! I don't know how anyone can think it's a burden! (If you do, you are listening to the traditions of the rabbis, what Yeshua fought against, rather than reading the Word of God.)

Thank you so much for your teaching. Your words are always so soothing. I believe I needed to hear this at this very moment, because as you well said, though I believe and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour, I have been praying for things to change in my life - in so many circumstances. What I've been inclined to do, is 'tell' God what to do because I simply can't see any way through it all, and time drags on... I'm often afraid to pray because I know, beyond the shadow of doubt, that I'll receive another blow from somewhere. There's just so much one can take... Phillipians 4:6-7 says: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and suplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts through Christ Jesus." Therefore, I want to trust that the Almighty will take care of my needs, in His good timing. I have to learn to 'wait on God'. Patience is one of the Fruits of the Spirit we so often overlook...

@@BrandonRobbinsMinistry Dear Brandon, many thanks for your prompt reply, I so appreciate it. Yes, I have had and continue to have unbelievable circumstances happening to me. I have friends say to me that they don't know how I am where I am. I know that I have learnt a lot through my trials and there are times I can clearly see that the Lord is allowing unpleasant things or people hurt me, especially family. Most of the time I'm afraid to pray because after praying it's like a tornado was hovering by my door. I know it's the enemy, but as I get older I feel my strength and stamina deteriorating. Amen to reexamining our lives to see where we are looking for healing in other things sort of modern day idols. When we look to Him in every aspect of our lives we recieve a little greater salvation. Over the years since I was saved I have come to know that our salvation and sanctification is a process of becoming like Him.

The church I attend had the 1st celebration of Christmas last Sunday. The Pastor spoke on the manger and told us it was a feeding trough. I came to remember what Jesus said about himself, he was the manna that came from heaven. I also remember what God said to Adam. "Go to the animals and find yourself a helper, but he couldn't find one." So if God views man as an animal, and Jesus is the bread sent down from heaven, born in a feeding trough, doesn't the Christmas story make a lot of sense? Just think, when we take communion, we are essentially eating from that feeding trough.

Christ didnt celebrate Christmas cause Elohim did not create Christmas. This is a man made Tradition birthed by pagans. Christmas is a mockery of Christ's MASSacre. Idolatry is real. We must come out from among then, and be Ye separate

This is a good lesson about seeking the kingdom while it may be found. Many people feel a need to declare their expertise when bringing people into their ministry. What this video importantly fails to tell the viewer is that the Messiah, whose name was/is not Jesus, wasn't born any time near the winter solstice. He was born during the feast of Sukkot which occurs around September/October. Which is important when it comes to shepherds who will still be warm and dry enough to watch sheep before the former rains come. It is also an important feast where the Yahudim ( Jews in modern English) come to their places of birth to observe the feast of Sukkot. Miriam and Yoseph would be going to Bethlehem as it was Yoseph's birth place being of the lineage of Davied. They would not find lodging in ANY type of Inn or hotel as the feast is observed in handmade dwellings covered with foliage like palm leaves and the like. They would have travelled lightly and only after Yom Kippur. The Angels do not declare that Christ Jesus is born. They refer to him as the Messiah. His name that he is to be called is only revealed to Miriam and only to the rest of mankind after the Messiah is presented for circumcision 8 days after his birth. It is VERY important for people to learn and remember that the Messiah was raised under the Laws of the Yahudim until it violated the laws of his Father the Creator. That he was as the son of man, of the tribe of Yahuda. He wasn't european, african, oriental or american. Luke also importantly mentions that Cyrenius was governor over SYRIA at the time of this tax census and not Jerusalem or Israel or Judea.

The other reason we may have written later history documenting a censure a decade later than we think was Christ's birth but by a governor of the same name and the resulting confusion is that we sometimes fir get the back and forth of political leaders at that time and how often a governor would be assigned then removed, or if they were doing a good job of administering and settling down an area, reassigned elsewhere to do the same thing, and then later rewarded for doing well by being asked where they would like a new assignment and often picking an area to go back to they preferred. Because archeology often sees things in large chunks of time a governor or ruler at the start of one period of time and when the name is there at the end of a decade or two archeology often places them as the ruler the entire time, where in fact they may have been there, and moved elsewhere or even several places and then coming back. We often see this raising questions too if the name shows up elsewhere as to whether it was same person in two or more places at different times or different leaders with the same names or whether we are wrong in calculating the area over which they ruled or governed.

I want to share about my near-death-experience together with my deceased daughter. It's a NDE story about the way our lives are judged and measured and analyzed by ETERNITY. It's about the strength of forgiveness that can change everything for the better, even on the other side. It's a story of hope and blessings to everyone who is looking for a PROOF OF ETERNITY, and that's the title of my book PROOF OF ETERNITY by Alba Monn. It's a story of hope and blessings to everyone who is mourning about the loss of a loved one, especially for parents who have lost their own children. I came to testify that ETERNITY is a fact, that our loved ones live on on the other side, that they want for us to be comforted and completely consoled by the truth, because the truth will set you free. Blessings

After many years alot of those shepered finaly saw Jesus again and some became deciples.

I'm glad for you who believe in Jesus but nobody is saved until they get to heaven. Every day is a struggle to keep faith and fight the devil. Don't let your guard down or get smug. The closer you are to God the more the devil wants to lead you astray. Jesus said the way is narrow and many seeds get lost or choked by weeds along the way. Blessed are they who persevere to the end .

Christmas as a feast was established by the church in about 200 AD. It replaced the pagan Roman celebration of "Saturnalia". But why were shepherds in the fields in mid-winter? Perhaps the true time was (as astronomers have suggested) in September.
@jackdavis50713 жыл бұрын
I have listened to him before and I still dont know where he has gone to church but things he accepts and says all Christians believe many times are things I have never heard about in 50 years being raised in the church and the 30 years I have been a follower. Never heard Jesus was born in a cave until now. Although it is shown the wise men, probably more than three, visiting at his birth. I have always known and been taught that was not the truth of it but a nice representation of the time of his early life. Also, like the Berean's I have always been taught to read the scriptures and Jesus was not born on December 25. He had him after they arrived not as they were arriving. The wise mine came sometime in the first few years before the killing of the children that was commanded to provide for Joseph and Mary to have money for the journey, etc.

@crystalsharpe74513 жыл бұрын
All Eastern women swaddled their babies. The Native Americans did the same. They believed that it made their babies grow stronger. It is more likely that Yeshua was born at a fall feast since the early Christians celebrated His birthday at Tabernacles. Yeshua was already 12 years old at Passover, likely His birthday was in the fall, a few months before this feast.
