A huge fan from Nigeria. I always look up to you. There was a time when i almost quit making beat cause it was really too hard for me. I had no one to guide me but damn i love making beats. It was a pain in my ass. But chu u made it all possible and easy for me. I can never repay you. But every beat i ever made was a dedication to you. But the main troubles i am going through right now is i do not have these drum kits that sounds fire. These 808's are fire. But i cant afford them. My whole beat life i have been looking up to the kick u used in this tutorial. I would really be glad if you will mail me some free fire kits. I will forever be indebted to you. I always look up to you genius. You already done it all for me. Feel like nothing is left. I love u man. Mail @ mawsoulmahady2015@gmail.com

Very good tutorial! Love the way you broke it into sections. For all you newbies out there on other DAWs: That "Slide Note" thingie he used is only an FL Studio thing. Make your pitch bends in other DAWs by using the pitch bend wheel on your sampler/synth. You will also use portamento (sometimes called glide) on your synth to make those notes that bend into each other when they over lap. Happy Producing!

Could you explain the downward octave punch? That one is kind of unclear to me
@ChuTheCreator6 жыл бұрын
place two notes, an octave apart and then make the note on the lower octave the sliding note. its just the opposite of the octave slide :)
@thatoneguy66656 жыл бұрын
@@ChuTheCreator Thanks so much for the quick reply, how does that differ from the lower octave cut off?
@ChuTheCreator6 жыл бұрын
ThatOneGuy of course! it is my pleasure! it is different because with the octave punch the notes are placed symmetrically on the grid. with the octave cutoff, the sliding note that goes downward comes in at a grid position after the initial 808 sound.

For sliding techniques, it is also helpful to slide to the fifth of the major triad, as doing so really increases the energy of the bass
