Get the Highest Quality Electrolyte euvexia.com . 6 Ultimate BENEFITS OF EXERCISE For Diabetes, Insulin, Weight Loss, Your Brain & More. Why exercise? Exercise is good for the heart and losing weight, but the brain is the most important organ we have and it gets the most benefit. The human brain helps us get around and tells each body part what to do, but without exercise and movement the brain shrinks and stop working correctly. Exercise has been shown to grow new neurons, makes you smarter, reduce chances of neurological disease such as Alzheimer's, it reduces blood sugar in the blood stream, and so much more. Learn what the best exercise is for you.
Exercise helps regulate hormones such as BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) and HGH (human growth hormone) which can intern help your memory, over all health, brain power, depression, anxiety, add/adhd, focus, productivity, intelligence and of course weight loss.
Aerobic exercise, anaerobic exercise and HIIT high intensity interval training are the 3 types of ways to exercise, but what is exercise doing for your body, what exercise does for your brain, heart, circulation, depression, mood, fatigue, aging, insulin resistance, diabetes, etc. The list could go on and on because exercise is so important! I hope this video is motivation for you to get up and start exercising.

I road bicycle for 3 to 4 hours at a time 4 or 5 times a week. My chest strap HR monitor shows an average HR between 130/140 BPM consistently. I have seen my HR over 200 climbing some hills (not smart I know). If I understand your point here the extended riding raises my cortisol to high for to long? I also weight train 3x per week.. I will be 68 in Aug. Thanks

Hello Dr.Eckberg, my name is John, I was diagnosed with type 2 about three years ago. I’m 49 years old, and managed to get my body to just over 300 lbs. 4/4/2023 I met with my doctor,to discuss my lab results etc. My H1C was 13.2. He tried real hard to put me on insulin injections, as well as jardience, etc. I plead with him to give me 90 days to try to change my ways. He reluctantly agreed, after telling me it couldn’t be done with diet. Today is 4/13/2023. Day 9 of a radical LCHFIF with ACV. Plus added resistance training and walking to my life. It’s too early to get excited, but I’m at 285 this morning. I want to thank you sir for doing what you’re doing! It is helping the people who need it. BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVE ONES SIR. You have helped me! Thank you!

This is great. Last year, when I was starting to lose weight, I told my doctor that I seem to get more benefits from walking and keeping my heart rate below 130, and she tsk tsk'd at me and said I should be doing exercise that keeps me at 150+ for an hour a day (I was 100lbs overweight -- not sure how she thought I could do that). I didn't listen to her, kept walking, and I've lost 50 lbs and feel SO much better.

I've spent 3 years now pushing iron in the gym and absolutely love it. I'm beginning intermittent fasting and low carb and the transition is rough. Recovery from intense workouts seems to be taking longer and I don't feel quite as strong. I'm only 2 weeks into this and was very carb dominant for decades. So, I guess this is par for the course, and my strength/recovery will improve as I get more fat adapted.

15 years ago, I practiced strict heart rate training with a HR monotor during my attempt at becoming a significantly better distance runner. What the good Dr. has outlined here is precisely what was tought about the need to stay within the aerobic range to burn fat and improve endurance. 80% of my runs were purposely in the aerobic range, and a very limited amount of training was doing hill sprints, which would be HIT) and track speed work. I endorse wholeheartedly the physiology he discussed here regarding what occurs at different intensity levels. Great, great video!

Dr Ekberg you are amazingly knowledgeable and so good at imparting this information to us. I have been listening to your videos and finally am able to put it all together in my head and put it to practice. Over the last three months I’ve incorporated fasting from 2 meals a day to omad now and very low carb except for broccoli and leafy greens. I’ve been strength training 3-4 times a week just for about 10 min or so. I’ve been walking at an aerobic rate daily. I’ve been doing kettle bell swings for hitt but just for about 3-4 minutes to get growth hormone and keep cortisol low. Rest of the time it’s all aerobic. Recently I heard your talk on slamming down the weighted ball as being the best for hiit so I’ve started doing that. I feel amazing I’ve lost 20 lbs in 3 months and I’ve done it all in the most healthy way possible according to your videos and I am so grateful. I cannot understand how no other doctor seems to have this knowledge much less help their patients get healthier. I am trying yo share all this with people in my life and it’s not easy. If doctors don’t fully understand hormones and metabolism then it’s surely difficult to expect the general public to get it. I’m a pharmacist and I cringe at all the medications we dispense out especially insulin with utter disregard for long term damage it’s causing. I’ve been meaning to thank you every single day…you are helping millions of metabolically unhealthy people and you deserve the Nobel prize for your noble work. You are indeed a gem and one in a 7 billion!

Thank you for this. I acquired an elliptical trainer (I affectionately call it the Hamster Machine) for use during the pandemic. I developed a series of 4 different workouts that I cycle through: 2 are aerobic, one is HIIT, and the third, the one I always hated the most, you have just taught me is counterproductive (around 70-80% for an hour, always a struggle to finish). So now I have a good reason to "fix" that workout, and probably enjoy it more.

Thank you so much Dr Sten! - you have explained so much to me in your videos and most especially this one! Years of exercising incorrectly kept me being a total loser weight wise! I suspected it was hormonal and not just insulin resistance. This video also explained why my very fit and healthy friend who does spin classes twice to three times a day can't shed the stubborn (albeit a little amount of excess) weight she's had for years and why she is constantly exhausted (even on low carb). She obviously is in a constant high cortisol state. This video is a life changer! Thank you so very much for caring for others. This is true leadership in action.

For aerobics, I just strap on a small amount of weight to my legs(5lbs) and hands(2.5lbs), and move them up and down at whatever pace you want while laying on my bed! During my workout, I listen to workout music and do different types of movements for each song. Anyone can do this! There's no stress on your joints and you breath easier too! Dr. Sten, you mentioned in your video that stair climbing is one of the recommended exercises. I live in a 2 floor house and there are 13 stairs between the 1st and 2nd floors. Sometimes I climb as much as 5,200 stairs a day (400 x 13). Recently I started having diminishing returns (feeling fatigued when trying to climb a lot of stairs at one time) and I realized I was going too hard all at once, pushing myself into anerobic mode. To make an adjustment according to how you described aerobic exercise should take place, I decided on this method, which allowed me to climb 13 stairs just now 50x at once without fatigue. 1) Going up, first time I climb 4 stairs, STOP FOR A SECOND OR 2, climb 4 more stairs STOP & REST AGAIN and climb the last 5 stairs, resting at the top for only a few seconds. 2) Counting is done this way: climb up and that is 1 up. Climb down and that is 2 down. Climb up and that is 2 up. Next climb down and that is 3 down, followed by 3 up, 4 down, 4 up etc... If your last climb is 50 up, you end your climb on 51 down (because 1 up did not have a down counterpart until then). 3) To co-ordinate my legs, when going up on odd numbered climbs I start with my LEFT LEG. When climbing up on even numbered climbs I start with my RIGHT LEG. WHEN climbing down on odd numbered descents I start with my LEFT LEG. WHEN climbing down on even numbered descents I start with my RIGHT LEG. As with going up, when going down I climb down 4 steps, REST FOR A SECOND, climb down 4 more steps, STOP AGAIN and climb down the last 5 stairs, resting at the bottom for a few seconds. 4) By interjecting tiny rest periods every 4 or 5 stairs, I can climb 13 stairs 100 times at one go without breaking a sweat. 5) I found that if I tried climbing without taking a one or two second rest, I would tire that much quicker and launch myself into anerobic mode.

Would love to understand his analysis and recommendations for someone who wants to lose weight and at the same time be more athletic. I started my weight loss program weighing 240lbs and dropped 50lbs *before* I found this channel. Running every day for 30 minutes and readjusting my food intake moderately (I did reduce my carb intake but not near keto levels). Then I hit a plateau at 188lbs and now I found this channel, and after one week of combined runs, counting (the right) calories, and some intermittent fasting, I started losing weight again at a significant rate. I don’t have diabetes, and don’t know if I have insulin resistance, but would like to reach my target weight of 130lbs. I would also like to train for a marathon since I discovered that I love running and love the benefits running has on my health. I would like to understand for instance how to combine intermittent fasting with a 30 to 40 minute daily run, assuming I don’t want to give up my runs (I also do a cool down walk after each run for 10-15 minutes). If I train for a marathon, should I eat some carbs before running to provide the fuel, and then go on the intermittent fast? Questions like that, etc. Thanks!

Thank you Dr. Ekberg for your easy to understand videos. I've started jogging lately at a rather slow pace (7:00m/km) but I always find my heart rate in the 180s and 190s. By the time I finish a run I usually feel energetic enough to run another kilo and I don't feel any soreness or fatigue the next day, nor have I ever felt dizzy or collapsed. I am 32 years old. I have lost 35+ kg over the past 7 months on a low carb diet and intermittent fasting. My A1C was 5.2 last time I checked down from 9.0 back in November 2018, without any medication. I would appreciate it if you could shed some light on why my heart rate would skyrocket after rather moderate exercise. Thank you again.
