In Sweden we are generally encouraged to be modest - it is considered kinda rude to brag about your successes in something, and you are instead expected to simply thank people for their compliments. Of course, there do exist attention-seeking Swedish people as well, but that attitude is generally considered a bit inappropriate over here.

I went Keto around Jan 2021, lost 40 lbs, felt great. Went on tour for work October 2021 and within three months put it all back. On the road + peer influence, is the worst. Learned a lot about myself and my weaknesses. Back on it now, using what I learned to be stronger. Off tour and doing my own thing now.

I did keto 15 years ago and lost 35 pounds in 3 months. I started eating somewhat normally again since my husband never ate what I did and I had to do his meals as a meat and 3 with bread. Slowly gained it back but now he has decided to go all organic, clean eating and following Dr. Ekberg, losing 40pounds since July and I have joined him only losing 18 pounds in 2 months. I know now it is a lifestyle plan and it has not been hard because I never ate before 2pm anyway. So at 68 and 182 pounds with an artificial hip and a bad back, it makes sense that less weight is better. Luck to us all as we tackle life and eating for our health.

Ehhh.... I like Ekberg's take on avoiding things like inflammatory fats and trying intermittent fasting...but telling people that eating fruits like watermelon is akin to eating "poison"?! Dude also says that stevia extract (a "natural" yet industrially processed sweetener) is healthier than honey... And for pete's sake...pointing a finger at fresh garlic?? This dude needs to take the tin foil hat off and hit the books again.

Best Condiment: Homemade Chimichurri: fresh parsley chopped (just the leaves), fresh oregano (finely chopped) 1 garlic clove finely minced, salt and pepper to taste, (sprinkle some Spanish smoked Paprika ) red pepper flakes 2-3, EVO 1/4 cup and red wine vinegar or white balsamic(2 tablespoons). Chimichurri sauce can last up to 3 weeks in the fridge or 6 months in the freezer. In Argentina, many keep a jar of chimichurri sauce in the refrigerator. As it ages, its vibrant color mellows, but it is still good. Argentine chimichurri sauce does not need to be made fresh at each serving.

Very much appreciate that he doesn't just recite foods and values. He interjects HOW he uses them, snippets of what he likes to put in his morning coffee, or how he combines foods to make meal combos. Just wonderful. BTW: Chia seeds are my new kitchen plaything . . . you can soak a TBLSP or two in a C of coconut milk + fiber pwdr along with some KETO "milkshake" powder and set in the frig until it makes a "pudding". As a newbie KETO convert trying to kick the iced cream addiction, this was my go-to mid-afternoon snack. Hope this trick helps others.

@@anita77771 I don't know what he uses as a KETO "milkshake" powder, but I make my KETO drinks with "SlimFast KETO Meal Shake" powder, mixed with water, which includes MCTs & grass-fed butter in the powder, 7 g total carbs per 2 scoops or 12 oz drink, 8 g protein, and is LOADED with 23 different vitamins, like zinc, biotin, A, C, D, E, K, B12 & B6, selenium, magnesium, chromium, iron, and potassium. I drink one of these every day as my lunch and am full most of the day until dinner - if I need a snack in between, I eat a handful of nuts, like walnuts or pecans, and some cheese. I also like "Wasa Sourdough Rye Crisps" with olive oil poured straight on it, which also keeps me satiated for an appreciative amount of time, and consuming Olive oil is so good for the heart, vascular, cognitive, and skin. For what it's worth, I begin my day with one cup of "bullet coffee", blend of unsalted butter, coconut oil, and heavy cream, after I've already fasted 12 hrs. since my supper the night before, so, I actually rarely feel hungry, unless my dinner time starts late. But anyway, I'm gonna try his "pudding' recipe using my Slimfast KETO powder, because it sounds good and as an ingenious "dessert" hack! 😉

After initially feeling a little better I also started walking for about 1 hour per day and doing some of the breathing exercises you recommend. In less than 3 months I have dropped 40 pounds have more energy and whilst I still struggle with depression it is definitely less severe. @@billyperry7779 Not only that but I found that many doctors don't want to know about any of these things. I was seeing a dietician and she was more receptive to what I was saying about OMAD even though she could not really advise me to stay on it...however I told her not to try to sell me on that food pyramid which is killing people and has been for a very long time. My doctor sent me to the dietician, however I am doing my own thing and losing weight. I have been to dieticians before I knew about Keto/IT fasting and lost nothing eating the food she recommended. Doctors with their medications will kill you if you have no clue about those medication and what the side effect can do to your body. So I agree with you they are completely nutritionally uneducated that is why they send you to dieticians in the first place. God helps those who help them selves and getting educated about health issues and nutrition is the way to go....that's why I love these videos of Dr Ekberg we are truly lucky to have people like him who give a damn about humanity and what is happening to people out there. A good substitute for worsteshire sauce is home-made “ketchup” from the old days. Take a bowl full of diced mushrooms and add a generous amount of salt and let it sit. The mushrooms will release their juices. Strain through cheesecloth and bottle it. Very tasty!

English walnuts have four times as much omega-6 as omega-3 (considered by some as acceptible), while black walnuts have sixteen times as much, but a lower total of both; one school of thought considers the total amount of omega-6 more of a problem than the ratio. Chia seeds come with potential problems, not the least of which being that they can swell to the point of causing a blockage. The best seeds, which are rarely mentioned, would seem to be Sacha Inchi, which have 37% omega-3, and 11% omega-9, 9g of protein per serving, and 5g of carbs (all fiber).

I have been substituting nuts for my candy cravings. But I suppose I need to dial it down because of the omega 3 Omega 6 imbalance…. but not surebecause red meat has alot of Arachidonic Acid which is “quote”’the bad fatty acid. Gama linolenic acid is also a 6 omega fatty acid and this is a good one.

For anyone else who might be confused about these numbers, as I was before doing some rewinding and re-listening-these numbers are percentages, in other words, the number is referring to # of grams of carbohydrate per 100 grams of the food. (Example: Avocados have 2 grams carbohydrate per 100 grams of avocado).

Make your own mayo at home with eggs and avocado oil (no flavor like olive oil). Use a stick blender in a tall glass, throw in the egg(s), then drizzle in the oil until it emulsifies into mayo. It won't last weeks like the stuff you buy at the store, so be prepared to use it within a day or 2.

Its similar to avocado as it's a fruit that is also high in fat. It also isnt sweet. I realise alot of persons outside of Jamaica isnt familiar with it. Matter of fact we are the only nation that actually eat it as a main part of our cuisine since people are scared about its preparation. It's only poisonous if you dont let it open on it's own.
