I literally wiped the vomit from my ex as he went through a stem cell transplant, I was there daily for as long as the hospital allowed, for 63 days, when only one of his grown children showed up once. As a retired nurse I did his daily care and was expected to do so by the staff, but I was happy to do this for him because I loved him. Come to find out he was exchanging love messages between 2 other women, as sick as he was, he still had the energy to cheat. Ironically, he was a former pastor. I have your books, and I love myself finally too much to even risk my heart again. I’d rather have a dog…they are loyal. And you are right…I gave away my power…I didn’t listen to my intuition over the 7 years we were together. I’m ok with being single…finally, and I’m happy.

The first 22 minutes of this video made me cry with relief from the resonance!!! My boyfriend hasn't been vulnerable with me since we started out as friends. He sometimes expects me to know him well and he sometimes thinks he knows me, then becomes stunned when he sees he was pegging me wrong. We've had at least five hours for 25 days spread out for 12 months. We haven't had sex, at all. Thank God because we haven't really talked about a relationship, other than we want marriage "with someone." Maybe I shouldn't even call him my boyfriend. He's been busy, but also with other women he's dating, so he says.

I am getting so much out of your videos. I believe I'm in a very genuine space with my guy, though it's only been six weeks. I am great at giving him space, because I have the same need. I am learning to speak up if I feel my value isn't being honored or appreciated (which is very rare), and I can easily take text breaks. I just want to learn to do whatever else I need to do to foster positive and healthy habits to see if we end up continuing to grow together. I definitely have some defects that can be frustrating for him, after all they annoy me too). So far, it seems we could be on a great path. I'm going to continue to learn from you. Every time he does something for me, no matter how big or little, I let him know that I am grateful. Your affirmation that this is important is something I am grateful for. Thank you!

But they think it's "I'm too much" or they are soo freaking boring. And they are okay with being so average and so normal lol. Exactly Jonathan! Consistency in your message is key. Repetition has always helped me to remember in learning. I’m glad that you addressed that in your video. I also wanted to let you know that your usage of profanity is always welcomed. It is how you show passion for what you do, and is authentically you. Something that I have learned from Marissa Peer is,”people can only reject you, if you allow it in.” I appreciate that you are a person that is self-aware and are open to constructive criticism. The comments that you get from women that you mentioned in your live videos, appear to be giving destructive criticism and aren’t worth your attention or feeding into their negativity and bringing attention to it. Those people will continue to say things that attack your character are seeking negative attention, because they aren’t happy with themselves or don’t love themselves enough to be able to write words with respect or with compassion. Fuck that shit! The people that are worth your time accept you as you are, so you don’t need to explain yourself(At least from my perspective.). One of my favorite quotes that I have been professing to people, to help ease their mind, and are worried about what others think of them is… “Those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” -Dr. Suess

Hi Jonathan, I don’t cheat on a man. I only dated one man at a time. You mention Porn in your show tonight; and how it can mess a person up. I feel that if every person took a vail, to practice (Celibacy for one year; only single people). The world be a better place. A.) Men and Women would have more respect for each other. B.) Dating would become more meaningful. A man or woman would take the time to appreciate the dating experience, getting to know one another. C.) Couples would be more committed to each other. Which could lead to more marriages and lessen the potential for divorce. D.) Jonathan, this is the big one. It would lessen the potential for sexually transmitted diseases and unplanned pregnancies. I have been Celibate for 37 years. I made a promise to God, that the only man that I will ever have sex with; will be my future husband. I went through a lot of childhood trauma and sex abuse. The men that I dated in my early twenties and thirties treated me with disrespect. (I am not crazy, I have morals and respect for my body). Amen

Talking about how if a man loves you, he will be there when you need assistance or are having a rough time. That is all well and good, but what if you need the assistance of a man when you are simply getting acquainted, or a man you know socially. I have found that most men will decline that request with a few exceptions. My Grandfather, who was Scottish, lived with five Irish women (my Grandmother and her sisters) and they adored him because he was always there to help and he treated them with respect and a genuinely me like. He would always help a woman, family or no. He was the same with every woman, young to old. I noticed this growing up and decided that was the deciding factor for me in whether a man was really a man or a selfish beast. People wonder why women often live in fear; because she perceives that she will be alone in the world eventually and not be able to rely on men,; in general, to assist her, should she need it. My significant other(who passed in 2011) had that quality. He just treated people well, in general. I wish it was not so rare. Many men do not realize how their masculinity would just flourish if they practiced this. Lots of appreciation and smiles coming from the ladies too.

He didn't say "ask" for assistance. He said a man who loves you will be there for you. It's inappropriate to ask a man you're seeing casually for assistance, IMO. You don't even know him that well. Jonathan's speaking of people who are past the initial casual stage. He's talking over 100 hrs of time spent in person with each other, and who are emotionally attached. Not casual. Two very different things. I think men don't like weak women who can't do for themselves. I think they like women who are capable of handling their lives....except for certain things. Things that require strength, things that need emotional support from a partner. Those things cannot be handled by one person alone, esp the brute strength things. If you don't have a bf, you have to hire a handyman for the physical strength things.

@@donnab8345 Hi, Donna, What I am talking about is a man's general attitude towards women, not a particular citsinstance. It might have not been clear, and I was not saying that Jonathan was wrong in his observations snd knowledge. I was sinply saying that my Grandfather treated all women with respect and an attitude of service, should they need it. He was happy with that feeling, not what he would gain by it. To me that is the highest expression of masculinity.

It is better to trust your significant other to monitor his own behavior when away from you, than to try to control him. That is treating him like a child. This is not what most women do, however. Because of their own insecurity, it has to be ok with them what he does, or they will try to control him. This makes for an unhappy relationship. Neither of them is maturing.

70 years of age and starting to date. Lost mate in 2016 to long slow demetia. Covid and death of family members and my own grief delayed my getting back out in the dating world! Any special tips? I'd like to get married again and do not want to take care of a sick man again for years on end unless he is financially stable and the main financial support in the relationship.
