Fantastic. I am looking for a way to swing a battery off my belt and run a cord to the camera with a "MagSafe" like connection so it magnetically connects and drops off if it finds itself in the way.

I have started using a power bank, with a USB-C to two-pin power cable for quick static setups when I livestream an event. Depending on the size and shape of the bank, Small Rig has a spring loaded bracket clamp which can be attached to rails, or just grab an old lens bag and hang that on the sticks. I also have a V-mount setup for times when I’m looking to do cine-style camera movements and want the rig to feel more solid. In some situations, the extra mass provides more help than hindrance.

Hello! Tell me why the SmallRig NP-F and the Kingma NP-F 970 7.4V battery gives out only 10.9V when I connect to the BMPCC6K Pro and after a few minutes the camera turns off when the voltage drops to 10.8V. What to do, please help.

I use a Tilta NPF battery holder with 12 Volt output and go into the 12 Volt input of the camera with the internal Canon battery in the BMPCC 6k. If the large NPF died, camera runs on the internal battery. I use the same NPF for my monitor. The monitor have its own battery.

Great video! This might be an odd question... but I cannot find the correct answer anywhere. Do you find the battery lasts long in the 6K camera if you're shooting in 4k? Just a thought.

Good question. I’m not a hundred percent sure on that so I don’t want to answer for certain. I still think taking screen brightness into account and compression settings would matter more than anything. I’ll have to try it out and see. Thanks for watching!

When you power the bmpcc6k through a v- mount battery are you supposed to leave the original small battery the comes with the camera inside the bmpcc6k? Or do you remove it? Or doesn’t matter?

I currently use the smallrig npf battery adaptor plate but I swear it doesn't work. I'll fully charge the batteries and they'll power the camera for a bit but then the voltage goes right down as if they've run out. I'll check the led battery indicator on the plate and it'll say theyre still full? I'm really confused why they aren't lasting

@@JesusPursuit I’m on the road right now and I’ll check when I get back to my studio later but I think you might be right. Now that I think about it, the 550s are the little ones, the “750s” I think are the larger ones and the 970s are the monsters so I think you might be right. The 550/570s are the same size and theoretically should work in the grip. Just can’t say 💯

best lens for streaming?
@ColorfieldMedia
@ColorfieldMedia 3 жыл бұрын
That depends on “your” needs. Tight surroundings, go with a wide to mid zoom. Shooting in low light? Go with a faster lens. Again, all depends on what your situation and job calls for.

@@ColorfieldMedia Use of purpose; Church Streaming! 3 Cameras - One on the left or right side of the stage/alter on a angle to get the worship team. One a couple 100 feet away on top of a 4x4 platform to get the whole stage/alter. And one that will be used as a roaming camera once and a while but also most likely as a stationary camera. The alter/stage is pretty lit but their are times when we go with a darker setting. We keep the side lights on in church so that people can find their seat safely. Also any suggestions on tripods specifically for those cameras?
@ColorfieldMedia
@ColorfieldMedia 3 жыл бұрын
@@jairo.romeroo While the exact lenses will depend on which format you're shooting (FF, S35 or MFT) and I can't see your exact setup, if it's 3 angles, I would go for a telephoto, a medium and a wide angle lens to capture as much as possible. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

1. 12V-20V power tool battery. 2. Use one of the 2-pin power connectors that come with the camera to wire to the 12V-20V power tool batteries. They lock so you can be creative with how to swap the batteries in and out. These batteries are cheap and range between 1-9Ah (1,000-9,000mAh) and some them have USB output to power other devices. They are typically very durable and reliable. Yes, they weight a bit more but it beats having to swap out batteries every hour. There is also the option to buy a 5V to 7-12V 2.5A step up converter for the 12V input on the camera or the USB to Canon LP-E6 Dummy Battery, all in which can be use with portable phone chargers that range up to 20,000mAh. While your at Harbor Freight, Walmart or even Lowes, buy those 1000-2000 Lumen portable work lights because they are BRIGHT. Walmart has these 100-150 Lumen $1 portable LED flashlights that are oddly much brighter than they list because I used one that threw light clear across a corn field in pitch dark to see deer. I’m positive these camera supply companies are using the same technology but hyping the price. $40 for a portable RGB light? 5 Below has the same ones for $5. Basically, it not rocket science. The Science and Math are already done so utilize it. ;)

I power both monitor and camera through a big fat 970 that comes with a DC out which I put through to the camera via a dummy battery... you’re saying I shouldn’t do that?
@ColorfieldMedia
@ColorfieldMedia 3 жыл бұрын
Reports on the BM forums are that if you power the monitor and the camera from the same battery, you can fry your HDMI port. I don't know if it's the dummy battery route specifically or not but more just from the same power source. I would definitely walk on the side of caution.
