Two Birds Yoga

Two Birds Yoga

This is a 60 minute vinyasa flow class to free your side body, hips and shoulders. Class moves fluidly through some creative lateral side bends as we flow, facilitating more room in your torso to breathe a deeper breath. Lateral side bends also help to restore symmetry to the left and right side of your body.
The pace is slow, rhythmic and accessible. It's easeful and designed to breathe more space into your body. Enjoy!

So many sit at desk bodies out there for sure. A recent study posted in the US indicated the vast majority of the population move less than 12 % a day. Would be the same here in Australia. Our poor bodies!

Good morning, Fiona! I love Ralph! He cracks me up! It’s hard to be present in my practice when I’m laughing! He has quite a lovely downward dog! I loved this practice. Several new asanas for me . I had a lumpectomy for breast cancer last year and my left chest , axilla is tight . But this was so helpful. I will come back for this practice! You are so good. I so appreciate your skill and thoughtful approach! Not to worry about me. I am cancer free and in good health. Blessings to you and all of Two Birds and sweet Ralph ❤️🌞🤸‍♂️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏

I play soccer 2-3 days per week and sit at a desk for the majority of my work days. Your practices make my hips, hammies, feet, and the rest of my body and mind feel absolutely fantastic.

Great wonderful practise! Thank you for inspiring me to tent my fingers. Doing so every chance I can instead of flat hands has helped to strengthen my wrists and forearms. I have joined your classes since pandemic and found that all the classes always made me feel open, grounded and present during and after the classes. My hubby and I are over 50, start our day with an hour of strong beginner flow. I have done the classical poses for about 3 years and then got Brian roped in, so I reverted back to beginner poses and flows, which I have grown to LOVE! I appreciate your stance on body awareness and your unique way of presenting and guidance. Thank you again for sharing your insight and talent with us! I very much enjoy your style of teaching and your creativity. I always feel AMAZING after your classes. I am recovering from neck and shoulder issues and I find that there are some other styles of yoga that oftentimes make them worse. The pace and flow of your classes really help me to stay present and afterwards my body always feels much better. Fiona, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talents with the world. ❤️

What an expert lesson again - thank you so much for it, all my current Asana could be inserted seamlessly, including Galavasana (in Lotus, which allows my buildt more control), it's very very fullfilling, & your anatomical minutiae so helpful for attention (away from the huffing & puffing & smiling...). 🙏🏻❤️

@@TwoBirdsYoga Galavasana is often done with one leg straightened out - which I know as FlyingPidgeon...Confusing, at times, to say the least, but that's how it is with us human beings. 😊

Definitely more control in lotus with legs bound. Chance to refine elbows over wrists for your base of support

I definitely prefer the ones without music more 😂 maybe I am so new at this, the beat of music mess me up 😂

Oh, I hear you. I used to add music from royalty free tracks. Sometimes too high in volume. I was just learning. Music can be very polarising. All my classes now are without music, but I add a Spotify playlist link in the description. For your reference, I have a playlist of all classes without music. @@TwoBirdsYoga Thank you for being so understanding. I was carefully trying not to sound unappreciative. The music does get loud unexpectedly and startles me. For a beginner it’s definitely a distraction.
