One of the best filmed most professional Yoga videos I've ever seen. As an Ashtanga beginner its a great tool for my workouts. I love how much better I feel and the increased flexibility as I strive to get better at the poses. Thank You.

Excellent modifications!!! I had started guruji's class since 3 days. Loving every bit of it but of course cudnt do many postures. Max can reach 30 mnts and that too with difficulty. (But m happy to the core😄) With these modifications I might be able to do the full class.... In some time (read months😉)! Thank you so so much!!

Since maybe last Monday, my inhale and exhale duration has been balanced during my practice. Adding breathing into this practice was a great idea because noone could bring me on the mat for seated breath exercises, thx :)

It's called Marichyasana. From 37-44.30 mins, they flow through all 4 versions of Marichyasana : A, B, C, D.

@Sharath Jois Guruji, the pace of count, when in pose, is too fast. I am hardly able to take 2 to max 3 breaths before the count of 5 is over. The Vinayasa pace is fine though.

Hi Ashtanga practitioners! I'm a Ashtanga beginner and I was wondering if anyone could confirm this with me? I heard from a fellow beginner that you shouldn't practice any inversions (e.g. headstands) when you're on your period, is this true? If true, do you not practice ashtanga at all? Or do you have alternate poses? Thanks!

mpdg11 - according to tradition, no inversion during menstruation and many take 3 days off to rest. If you can’t rest, yin yoga or easy yoga is good.

HI, I'm a guy. However, you can do your normal practice but when you are on your cycle...do "Legs up the wall" instead of sirsasana(head stand) and sarvangasana (shoulder stand). I hope this helps
