Civics, when built correctly, are absolute monsters. The platform just has SO MUCH potential and room for growth. They're light, highly modular, and cheap/easy to build. The only problem is most people fail at taking advantage of this and just abuse the car or do half assed/stupid builds. It's nice to see one done right. This is an insane sleeper.

+Robert Krzyzanowski I'm still getting used to that effect in my Abarth. It didn't do it so much stock, but I did a few mods that have added a few dozen more ponies, and it pulls on boost. I can't imagine with that much more power - I already have some roads I just simply cannot get into the throttle on because of the uneven surfaces causing too much tramlining. I'm sure an alignment might help, but it is definitely something I wasn't expecting. I remember back in the late 90s people where saying that 200HP was all you could effectively put down through the front wheels on a FWD car due to torque steer. Improvements have been made, sure, but I know what they were talking about now.
@1nv4d3r19919 жыл бұрын
Alvin Brinson exactly! There is no hope for the small backroads and such. I just put a new set of et street r from mickey thompson and with alignment, energy suspension bushings, traction bars, boost by gear, and other little things I can put a lot of power down in second gear with minimal wheel spin. It surprises the hell out of me still from 2-4th and the numerous amount of cars I beat and their claimed power levels.

So a serious question here, do Americans just build straight line cars, is that the most popular style of tuning, big HP big tyres (not this video) because do you not like to drive back roads as fast as possible and have cars that perform incredibly on curvy roads. I'm from the UK where we don't have as much straight line as the US so I can see it one way but i'm just asking is there not a huge handling tuning scene in america because most of the cars shown are great in a straight line but imagine being lethal trying to pace through bends.

My Abarth does the same thing - it tramlines pretty heavily under boost on narrow uneven roads. I guess it's due to weight coming off of the drive wheels combined with torque steer. 600 horsepower but how much torque? lolFor a Honda, it actually looks pretty fun.
@1nv4d3r19919 жыл бұрын
at around 600ish level roughly 400ish on this setup. Got to love 9.6k redline to make up for the lack of torque.
@Rome1017Lights9 жыл бұрын
+archinuk417 horsepower is measured by torque x rpm / 5252. on a dyno graph torque and hp always cross over at 5252, below that number torque is the higher figure and above it hp is higher. If this thing makes 600hp at lets say 8000rpm, it makes 394ft-lb at that same rpm. it could also make more torque down low, most cars make peak torque at around 5252. Id guess peak torque is around 460ft-lbs

probably around 450 tq. You don't want a lot of torque in a FWD vehicle. Torque is force needed to accelerate an object.. a lot of torque in something this light just creates a lot of unnecessary spinning.

I've always wanted a RWD or AWD car for my first car (no insurance like UK in Argentina) but cars like this makes me think again. What do you guys think?
@fizzyman12249 жыл бұрын
For your first car a fwd manual Honda is a great learning platform before learning to get to crazy on a red car because Hondas will take a beating unlike most cars! But rwd car I recommend is a 300zx (;

No go with Rwd

Depends where you live in Argentina; you might want awd if you have harsh weather

Seems to behave more like a 300hp, my little 200hp all motor got more pull than that. I'm surprised no one asked for proof of this, I'm assuming electronic boost control to make it more drivable for daily use? Maybe no one likes the Hondas enough to care. Wish my interior looked that good.
@1nv4d3r19919 жыл бұрын
hard to measure "pull" from a video unless you have another car next to it etc as a reference. boost by gear is awesome. keeps it tame because with a FWD car you are limited a lot more on the power able to put to the ground because of the lack of tire and blah blah blah.

+Robert Krzyzanowski helped my friend finish up his turbo ek 441hp/319lbs tq such a bish to drive. I picked up an eg, gonna make it into a sleeper so I don't get too much attention. Take it to the track and take off the plates ha-ha living in Hawaii its hard to stay off the radar on an island.

That's awesome. Very fun cars. Good luck on your build man! I can imagine it's a whole different game over there. Lol

+Robert Krzyzanowski I'll post up vids of my build when its finished, it drives and pulls pretty hard but not street legal yet, I think I might start a new trend with this build.

That color is amazing, my wife had a 1993 DX in the same color with some stock delsol wheels on it (looked cool at the time). I miss the eg you can’t find clean low mile examples, and unfortunately I’m a little to blame for that. I had 2 of them myself a 92 & 94 both Si trim, bought both brand new. Bothe were modified loved and cherished and should’ve kept them.

@wiltoncerritos4599 жыл бұрын
wow I really didn't expect to bring that type of horse power and it has a total sleeper modification on it is a very nice car and it doesn't weight that much as a stock eg hatchback

'92-'96 Prelude seats are super cool, but I gotta admit that the '88-'91 Prelude seats were best. The bottom line is that swapping parts from various Hondas is fun.

My favorite Hondas: 1) Ef Sedan 1988-1991 is super sentimental to me 2) CRX absolutely crazy weird and can be totally awesome built right 3) Ef Hatch just a beautiful little car (teal color isn't my favorite tho 😅) What's yours?

Not a fan of Hondas at all but this is what I like to see, a Honda that's engine modified rather then body modified with no engine work at all. Nice video and nice hatch👍🏼
